Our Yarra Ranges Community is a strong and creative one and we just know there are some brilliant ideas for projects that can help our community emerge from the impacts of COVID-19 to reconnect, engage creatively and benefit mental and social well-being. This is a reminder that funding of up to $5k is available through the COVID-19 Community Relief ...and Recovery Program. This funding is available for eligible not for profit community organisations, groups, social enterprises, creative organisations, and individual artists. Applications close on 20 November. 01.01.2022 An exciting opportunity exists to bring the essence of our creative Yarra Ranges into our schools! Creative workers can undertake a six-month paid residency in a Victorian government primary or secondary school next year to design and deliver a creative project. In the wake of COVID-19, this provides a short-term working opportunity for creative workers who have been so deeply impacted, as well inspiring budding artists with creative learning opportunities in schools. Creativ...ity in schools improves critical thinking and confidence, encouraging students to problem solve and engage in subject matter on a deeper level. This comes at a time where creative expression, hope and a sense of community are needed more than ever.
