24.01.2022 Whoo hoo! Just one week until Main Street Montville lights up for our Festive Street Party! Come along and relive the JOY of Christmas Saturday December 5 from 4 - 7pm. It's time to experience the magic of Christmas in Montville, Queensland. The fairy lights and festive banners are already up to welcome locals and visitors. Most shops and cafes will be open for our twilight Christmas shopping event. Musicians include Pantastic Steelband, Trombone Quartet playing Christmas Ca...rols, Elye Westacott and Graham and Rowena Harp players. Entertainment includes Mr Jay Balloons, Miss Donna roving elf juggler and an angel stilt walker plus Santa! We have great stall holders making this a really festive street fair. 20.01.2022 UPDATE: Our first meeting will be this Thursday morning at The Edge from 8:30 - 9:30. Yikes, Christmas is almost on the horizon! This year we are looking at changing the Christmas Shopper format. Rather than have 2 draws, we thought to have one big one just before Xmas and each shop/cafe etc would have smaller draw/s of their own vouchers in the lead up. This would be up to the business- you could draw as many as you like Let me know your thoughts. Due to Covid, we are cons...idering a twilight market with shops open, buskers and street entertainers rather than an event on the Village Green or Russel Family Park. Would you be keen to open up until 7 on that evening? It will either be Saturday December 5 or 12. We need to start organising this week. 10.01.2022 And this year's deserved winners are all back to doing what they do best: business. The show must go on! The Glassy Awards Presentation Night went ahead at Hideaway Weddings albeit with a smaller crowd. Six months ago we weren't sure whether we could go ahead. Well done to all the businesses and staff who made the finals. How good is it that so many businesses are back! The Silver Business Award for the 2020 Montville, Queensland and nearby villages is Sweethearts Cafe Eudlo.... Congrats again! The Bronze Award in this hotly contested award goes to Clock Shop Montville who are not only giving their excellent service but also expanding the business. Congrats to the wonderful Clock Shop Team with Daniel Hoffman now at the helm. Our outstanding Silver Award for staff was won by Jana who has impressed Ishkhan and Laura Laurisha Jewellery and lots of appreciative customers. Congratulations!
