21.01.2022 My big, Healthy Female Wallaroo with the Joey in her pouch, died this morning. I suspect a snake bite. She adopted a Juvenile male Wallaroo some months ago and has looked after him since then. A short wile ago I noticed the young male resting in some long grass, and to my surprise he had a baby wally resting with him. I went looking for the mother and found her dead. I’m really sad about loosing her, but how great is it the Juvenile repaid her looking after him by looking after her little one. I have the joey in a pouch now and will raise her. Sadly, the Juvenile will have to be content with me and the Eastern Greys for company.

16.01.2022 Betty and Ruby came out of the bush for their afternoon snack. They sure know where to find a free feed.

15.01.2022 Hope you all have a peaceful day, and don’t have any orphans or injured come in today.

15.01.2022 Betty and Ruby, released ages ago, decided to pull the animals bedding out of the washing basket and make it into a bed. Your wild and free you little buggers, this isn't a hotel.

02.01.2022 In all the years of this refuge, this is the first Wallaroo baby that has grown up and given us a Joey of her own, Yaa, Wally grandparents finally. The other photo is just a bunch of freeloaders waiting for a free feed.
