19.01.2022 This week as part of NAIDOC Week, we have created a ‘Sea of Hands’ in art. The ‘Sea of Hand’s is an iconic symbol of reconciliation and a way for communities ar...ound Australia to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues and events. The first art installation of this kind was created in front of Parliament House in 1997. Since then, almost half a million people across Australia have planted their own hand in support of Reconciliation. Our students decorated their hand with their first initial as a symbolic way of showing their support during NAIDOC Week.We look forward to sharing the completed display with you next week. #naidocweek #naidoc2020 #alwayswasalwayswillbe See more

16.01.2022 Year 3 and 4 students have been learning about colour mixing in art They have learnt about primary colours (red blue and yellow) and how, when combined in certain pairs, secondary colours (green purple and orange) are created. Students used this knowledge to create abstract art by drawing with PVA glue then mixing primary coloured chalk together in the spaces. Ask your little artist to tell you all about it!
