17.01.2022 Last night, AIDN-Vic in partnership with Australian National Veterans Arts Museum (ANVAM), Ironside Recruitment & Anywise Consulting hosted an event to celebrate our veteran workforce at the ANVAM's annual March to Art: Community exhibition. The CEO of AIDN, Claire Willette, spoke about the importance of not only defence SMEs working together, but also collaborating to support the veteran and defence community. Glen Ferrarotto from Ironside recruitment spoke about the skills... and experience that veterans bring to the workforce as well as the support organisations can provide in their transition. Mark Johnston, the Chairman & Director of ANVAM spoke about the amazing work that they are doing in supporting transitioning veterans and their families, using art as the well-being tool and working toward the transformation of the 310 St Kilda Rd to a cultural centre of well-being for veterans and their families. Sean Burton, the artist-in-residence spoke about his personal experiences and how the support of ANVAM through art therapy and mentoring has improved his well-being and quality of life by giving an outlet of expression and sense of purpose. 11.01.2022 Moog celebrated the opening of its new Canberra office late last week. ACT’s Defence Industry Advocate, Kate Lundy, officially opened the office alongside Moog Australia's Managing Director, Bryan O'Connor during a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Moog has opened the new office in Canberra as part of its ongoing commitment to further enhance and develop its support of the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF’s) sovereign capability requirements. Expanding to and establishing local prese...nce in Canberra facilitates closer contact between Moog and its key customers including the Commonwealth of Australia (COA), ADF, and key primes. The Canberra facility, which will operate as a sales and program management office, is Moog’s third location in Australia adding to its head office located in Heatherton in Melbourne and other sales office located in Bella Vista in Sydney. Andrew O'Donnell who has recently joined Moog Australia as a Defence Systems’ Program Manager, after 20 years of service to the ADF in the Army, is based in the office and is managing and supporting Moog Australia’s defence activity. 10.01.2022 It was great to again be apart of Soldier On Australia's Pathways Networking Event last night. Another opportunity to hear the stories of ex-service personnel and their families and the transferable skills they can provide to organisations across Australia. We look forward to hopefully continuing the conversations with some of the participants we met last night and supporting the fantastic work that Soldier On Australia do.

09.01.2022 Today, Moog Australia joined Australia's Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for Cancer Council Australia. It was great to enjoy a lovely morning tea together as well as have a bit of fun with a raffle, guessing game and our employees testing their skills by trying to throw a coin into a teapot all to raise funds for a very worthy cause. The Cancer Council are Australia’s leading cancer charity, working across every aspect of cancer. Everyday, they support families affected b...y cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer. Since 1994, they have raised more than $192 million to support the 1.1 million Australians either living with cancer or who have survived a diagnosis. 08.01.2022 Thank you Soldier On Australia for hosting a successful Pathways Networking Event last night for Australia's Service Personnel and their families. The event provided participants the chance to find out more about employment opportunities that exist within Moog Australia and other Soldier On Pledge Partners and also provided education around career pathways and transitioning. It was great to meet with participants, hear their stories and understand what experience and skill they can bring to organisations such as ours. We look forward to hopefully continuing these conversations and attending more Pathways Networking Events in the future #force4good

03.01.2022 On Wednesday we joined our Moog Inc. colleagues for the annual Walk at Work Day. Although it was a little cold, we were lucky to have the sun come out and provide us a little warmth on the day.
