17.01.2022 = S P R I N G C L E A N I N G = This week feels well and truly like spring has sprung!! Time to give the dogs a good spring clean?... Pop down and get Tam or Kristie to freshen them up!
16.01.2022 = T I C K P A R A L Y S I S = We've seen 3 cases of tick paralysis at the clinic this past week. Sadly in QLD tick paralysis is not really seasonal. We have the climate those little buggers just love! ... We are so lucky these days that there are fantastic ways to combat ticks that are convenient and easy- many of you will remember when this wasn't the case! I often also get questions around the safety of these products. And what i have to say is = any product/drug has the capacity to cause a reaction in any dog or cat, that's just life, but tick paralysis kills animals, its worth it = Pop in and discuss which product is best for your pet.
16.01.2022 T I C K S These little buggers are out in force! We have one very sick kitty in clinic today and also our routine surgery had this tick on it too!! If you haven’t got your cat or dog on tick prevention it’s time! ... From as little as $11 a month for cats or $14 a month for dogs you can get your pets protected. There’s many options these days so products to suit everyone’s needs. Please pop into the clinic to discuss if you aren’t sure what you should be doing
15.01.2022 CLINIC UPDATE Firstly I thank you all for your cooperation and understanding in times where we don’t have a lot of control over our environments. We would like to keep the clinic open and operating so we can service and help as many pets as we can. In order to do this we need your cooperation.... WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER PHONE CONSULTS AT REDUCED COST AND MEDICATION COLLECTION WHERE NEEDED. So....... PLEASE do not attend the clinic if you have been overseas or in contact with someone who has been overseas in the past 14 days. Please if you have any cold or flu symptoms be it a mild sore throat or cough do not attend the clinic. You may pass this to staff or another client with a lessened immune system and make them more prone to Covid-19 infection at a later date. please don’t drop into the clinic to ask questions or get us to quickly check something. We are able to take enquires of this nature over the phone. please try where possible to attend the clinic ONE PERSON PER PET. Please be considerate whilst at the clinic and stay distanced from others- use the hand sanitiser provided and wait outside if the waiting room has people in it already. It’s crucial we all be considerate to others. You may not be worried for your own health but we MUST protect the health of the vunerable. Stay safe and sane Mooloolah.
14.01.2022 COVID STRESSES During these changed times, there’s been some changes to the way we operate at the clinic. I just wanted to stop by and reassure you all of what’s going on behind closed doors as you sit in your cars patiently. To start with we are bringing your pets into the clinic some are more reluctant and we may need to coax with treats or cuddles- they’re not being dragged I promise... We’ve installed some new clips in the consult room so they can see us as we buzz around grabbing bits and pieces- theyre not locked in a room. Our lovely vet nurses are holding/cuddling/coaxing with treats while we examine your pets. They are still getting thorough exams- this may take less time than you’re used to as we aren’t talking during this time, or it may take longer if we are dealing with phone calls and in patients also. We ask for your patience as we adapt to the increased number of phone calls. We will try to learn all your concerns from the car or via phone before we grab your pet. If you have numerous concerns feel free to write these down so nothing gets missed We will then return your pets to you and discuss our findings. We are also able to take eftpos payment from your car or the provided seating area- easy. We are open for product sales, food and preventatives. Just give us a bell and pull up to the car park Stay safe Mooloolah and thank you for your patience
14.01.2022 New update on Covid 19 As a clinic we have to take every precaution in line with our industries guidelines to continue to provide you with a clinic service. As such we will no longer be having clients into the clinic to further promote social distancing and to keep our staff and premises as Covid free as possible. We thank you for your cooperation ... please call the clinic from the car park and discuss your needs. we will pop out and grab your pet and return them to you. We are using personal protective gear to also protect ourselves and our clients and heavily disinfecting the premises. Stay safe Mooloolah

06.01.2022 M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S From all the staff at Mooloolah Vets! We wish you all a very safe and fun Christmas. Remember.....no ham, choc, xmas cake/pudding for your furry friends! ... The rain.....although much needed, (please let it) it does bring out the ticks We re-open on the 2nd Jan
02.01.2022 I cannot stress this enough guys, ticks are here and killing pets every day. We have fantastic tick killing products- your pet MUST be on one if going outside. From the age of 8 weeks and from 2kg in weight. Any yard, any courtyard even is susceptible. No place on the coast is safe. ... It saddens me to see so many animals dieing due to these dreadful lil things. If you chose to have a pet in Queensland this is also something you take on on their behalf. This may seem harsh but as vets it deeply saddens us loosing patients to these lil things.
