18.01.2022 Homelessness can happen to anyone. Someone could have a family, a house, a job and a car, and then they lose one thing and then there's a snowball effect. By ...the end of it, if they don't have any family here or any support, then they find themselves on the street. And they're the first person to say, I never thought that I would end up here. Toni, volunteer A change of events can change a life. But, so can your support.

06.01.2022 Today, I invited 13-year-old Josh Wood to come up to parliament house as my special guest. Josh is the winner of the 2020-21 Lions Peace Essay Content. Josh ...was in town as a few days ago he spoke at the Lions Australia convention at the Canberra Convention Centre. Another stop off for Josh during his visit to Canberra was to the Australian War Memorial where Director Matt Anderson invited him on a tour. This has been a busy week for Josh and it was a privilege to spend time with him and his family today. In Josh’s winning essay, he writes of finding inspiration from those who have gone before us, with special mention of his Grandfather. For me, I find great inspiration in Josh and the message he is spreading when it comes to the importance of serving others and promoting peace in our communities and within ourselves. Thank you Josh for making a difference.
