08.01.2022 Mooloolaba SUP Fest 2020 Cancellation We have made amazing progress in planning with the Sunshine Coast SUP Club, World Surfaris and the Sunshine Coast Council to create and plan a Festival that will attract the best Paddlers from around the world. Unfortunately, amid the COVID-19 outbreak around the globe and in Australia, it is with great sadness we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Mooloolaba SUP Fest in 2020. The Fest Committee has come to this conclusion fol...lowing the Federal Government announcement of non-essential mass gatherings being banned across the country and the boarders of Australia being closed. We intend for the SUP Fest to become a vital part of Sunshine Coast’s tourism economy but the health and safety of our residents and visitors must come first. While July is still months away, we are unable to plan for such a major event during the economic climate. The great news is that much of the hard work of designing a SUP Festival and associated activities has been done. We remain committed to delivering an iconic event in 2021. With the additional time to create the inaugural Mooloolaba SUP Fest, we will be able to deliver an even better event. So, keep an eye on mooloolabasupfestival.com and the Mooloolaba SUP Fest social channels for the 2021 updates. We look forward to seeing you in 2021!
