19.01.2022 CANCELLATION OF AUTUMN 2020 SEASON AND SPRING 2020 DETAILS The NSNTA Management Committee has met to consider the results of the survey of clubs we conducted on... return to competition options. A summary of those results is on the NSNTA website. They show that 74 per cent of clubs, a clear majority, would prefer to cancel the Autumn 2020 season now and start planning for a new Spring season to start in August. There is still no clear advice from the State Government about when a return to competition tennis will be possible. However, given restrictions are gradually being eased, we are hopeful they will be eased enough to allow competition tennis by August. The Committee has therefore decided to cancel the Autumn 2020 season and start planning for the Spring season. The provisional start dates for Spring 2020 are: Ladies - Tuesday, 4 August 2020 Mixed - Wednesday, 12 August 2020 Mens - Thursday, 6 August 2020

07.01.2022 Hi Members, On 11 May, the Victorian State Government announced it will gradually ease restrictions while under a State of Emergency from Tuesday 12 May at 11:59pm. As a result, tennis can return in a limited way. Booking Courts... Moomba Park Tennis Club have given the go ahead from Tennis Victoria and Moreland City Council to reopen our courts. Book a Court has now been reopened and available to take bookings Mon-Sun from 7.30am - 10.30pm, under the following conditions: Social distancing must be practiced at all times. ONLY courts 1, 3 & 5 will be available for booking, with strictly no more than 4 people per court. Spectators are not to enter the facility. The Clubhouse will remain closed, members must not access the clubrooms/toilets during this time. Also refrain from drinking from the water fountains and come prepared with a full drink bottle. Upon entering the club, hand sanitiser or alcoholic wipes must be used on the keypad before and after use. Please come prepared with your own sanitation items. For protection against infection No handshakes or high fives, try tapping racquets instead. Wash/sterilise your hands before and after you play. Tennis balls should be labeled with your initials and you should only touch your own tennis balls. Avoid touching your face while playing. Bring your own hand sanitiser. Cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow. Be aware of what surfaces you touch and ensure you clean them after play. If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or have flu like symptoms, you must stay home. Moomba Park Tennis Club reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who we think may be unwell. Coaching For members to participate in coaching, Jesse will be in touch and provide additional information of the conditions under which coaching will recommence. 07.01.2022 UPDATE! We are OPEN MAXIMUM OF 10 PLAYERS IN THE FACILITY. Casual play for members of the same household OR for 2 people from different households.... Coaching for members of the same household or one to one coaching Person booking the court must record who they are playing with in the Book a Court system. Tennis equipment must not be shared. Club rooms are closed. No one from outside the lock down area (Melbourne Metro and Mitchell Shire) may play at Moomba Park TC. Ensure you maintain social distancing of 1.5m at all times You must bring your own water bottle (already full) The water fountains at the club have been turned off. You must use hand sanitiser before and after touching the key pad. The club has installed a hand sanitiser dispenser when you enter. Avoid touching your face while playing and cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow. If you are feeling unwell, or have been directed to isolate or quarantine (due to travel, close contact with a person who is confirmed to have COVID-19, or pending a test result, do not attend the club). We will be hosting an 8 week session of the most funnest activities for all players. ... If you want to transform your life, get fit and meet wonderful people, you cannot miss this event. We are hosting on court activities and also off court including a BBQ FEAST and drinks. 02.01.2022 Hi Everyone... Maurice Gasbarro has decided to step down after quite a number of years as the clubs president. We thank him for all he has done for the club and his willingness to be involved in so many things that were being done at the club and social activities outside the club, including Bunnings BBQ and organising last years trivia night. ... We thank him sincerely for all the years he gave us and his enthusiasm for the club to be as good as it could be and with his help we feel that this has been achieved. Good luck in the future Maurice, you will be missed.
