25.01.2022 Some weekend inspiration - Nature is art..

25.01.2022 Welcome to Spring

21.01.2022 It's National Recycling Week - so much waste is just good stuff put in the wrong place. Our food scraps go to the hens or into the compost. Nature is the best at recycling.

21.01.2022 There is so much abundance around us if you open your eyes - even more so when you decide to work with Mother Nature and allow natural processes to help you.

20.01.2022 Flowers add so much joy to a garden. Jean has been busy creating these potted gardens to brighten up our front entrance. There's still a few more days left in the month to get planting.

18.01.2022 Interesting talk on the subject of insects. via Zoom

14.01.2022 When we first moved to our cleared acre block there were only hawks and mice to be seen. Now after 20 years of planting we have a host of creatures from frogs and lizards to bandicoots, and wallabies to king parrots, kookaburras, sacred kingfishers, lorikeets, metallic starlings, figbirds, leathernecks, firetail finches and sunbirds to name a few. It is such a joy to watch them. Thanks Tristan of Sydney Gardeners for this great article below.... https://sydneygardeners.com.au//how-you-can-improve-the-b/

13.01.2022 Wendy asks: Why doesn't the Full Moon date line up on the calendar when the dial is set to the New Moon on June 21, 2020. Answer: There are times in the year when the lunar cycle varies from 28-29.5 days. In these cases there can be a day out in the phase cycles, but these were taken into account when designing the calendar to enable it to be perpetual. As the full moon period is generally a non-planting time, it is ok if this phase doesn’t always line up so long as you are... not planting 24-hours either side of the actual full moon as growth will be spindly. We set the calendar to the New Moon date because that is when the most prolific growing period occurs and is the most important. 12.01.2022 Interesting how this tree is at the centre of a crop circle - maybe a message that we all revolve around nature.

12.01.2022 Love the Jade Vine.

08.01.2022 Question from VC,, in Victoria: Love the ease of your calendar and have been moon gardening for over ten years with much improvement! Have been wanting to ask for years, if, when circumstances arise and one is unable to plant on those 2 exact days for root plants, is it at all possible to plant a day out, either side? There have been times I am called away on those 2 days and have then had to wait. Has this been tried before and is there much, if any change? Reply: You can p...lant the day or two before or after if unavoidable, as the segment highlights the most premium times for root crops. Before the first two-day segment and after the second are the next optimal, as the period between the two is more stressful. Kind regards, Sheree Scott Moon Gardening Calendar See more

08.01.2022 Nature rejuvenates the soul. New Moon is the time to go within and plan what you want to bring forth in the period ahead to the next full moon.

02.01.2022 Winter solstice happens on June 21 in the southern hemisphere, when the sun reaches the lowest apex and the night is the longest annually. Celebrations include lighting a candle or having a firelight vigil to welcome the return of the sun at dawn. Feasts are also common as it marks the turning of winter towards the increasing light of spring.

02.01.2022 Beautiful view making Moon Calendars this morning. #workfromhome
