19.01.2022 lots of interesting old tools at the Museum. Interestingly we recently saw that some of our tools are exactly the same as those found on a Roman ship that was sunk in Holland over 2000 years ago. If it works don’t change it!

17.01.2022 At last a appreciable a,punt of rain has fallen. How green is my valley, is now a reality. On Australia Day I had a look at the Cockburn River at first bridge across from railway crossing and the river was flowing swiftly. Now a week later 30th Jan,not a lot of movement but still a good bit or water in the river see photo attached.

16.01.2022 A terrible week of bush fires, one here deliberately lit on 12 November in height winds and total fire ban conditions, still fighting it a week later. Picture is view of fires Tuesday and smoke today (and yesterday too) and map of burned out area.

05.01.2022 We have to announce that we too have to do our part in Covid 19 awareness and have had to comply with the council request to close the museum for the foreseeable future. Be assured we will be opening again as soon as we are able. With many thanks to you all for your patronage over the years.

04.01.2022 Call at Moonbi on your way through, and have a look in the window of the Museum if it’s not open. Call in and have a good look if it’s open. Appreciate the number of rocks you can now see in the surrounds due to the drought! Hope the trees come back

02.01.2022 Here are some of the irons in our collection. The Ladies told me that the fluid that went in the tank was highly flammable and you had to be careful as it could catch fire easily. NOw thats WHS risk!

As we are manned by seniors, the powers that be say we should stay home and stay safe! However we are maintaining the museum and receiving donations of goods do When we reopen, we can welcome you back again. Sorry to those who have sent enquiries that got lost in the system.
