10.01.2022 URGENT: HELP. The Federal Court just handed down a ruling and left our Native Title rights hanging by a thread. We have to fight back urgently to protect our rights. If they choose to, the Queensland Government could extinguish our Native Title rights at any moment.... We will appeal all the way to the highest court in the land. But right now our rights are urgently vulnerable. Stand with us and demand the Queensland Government never extinguish our Native Title to make way for Adani’s coal mine. WHEN: 8:45am, Tuesday 21 August WHERE: Queensland Parliament House WEAR: Block colours. Red, yellow or black only. The Queensland Government will be under immense pressure from Adani and their mining stooges to extinguish our Native Title rights, but are under no legal obligation to do so. If they don’t want to, they don’t have to. So we need an urgent show of strength to make sure they stand up for us, and we need it now. We know that Adani’s Indigenous Land Use Agreement is a sham, and the court decision didn’t prove otherwise. We will continue to fight for our Country, and we call on you to stand with us. It would be a travesty for the Government to wipe out our native title for Adani. If Queensland can stop them dredging the Reef before Adani has money, or pull the pin on $1 billion NAIF funding, they can surely protect our rights to our land. Together we can demand the Palaszczuk does the right thing. Friends, rest assured, we are ready to keep fighting Adani, and anyone else who would deny us our rights, all the way to the High Court if necessary. But most importantly, we will stand our ground, within our laws and customs and culture. And we need the people to stand with us and demand better from the Government.
