To ensure all spectators can attend, our event has been programmed into sessions. All other sessions are listed below (adults $15, Concessions/Child 2-17 $10). Please ensure you are purchasing a ticket to the correct session as we have a ‘no exchange policy in place. Here is the link for all Spectator tickets https://www.trybooking.com/BOWHQ Day 1 Afternoon Session-Saturday 22nd May 2021 1pm to 4:30pm, Solos Duos, Trios- 12/u, 14/u, 15 & over, 13 & over boys Day 1 Evening Session Saturday 22nd May 2021 6pm 9:30pm, Troupes 14/u & 16/u Day 2 Morning Session Sunday 23rd May 2021 8am 1pm, Solos, Duos, Trios - 6/u, 8/u, 10/u 9/u boy And 6/u & 8/u Troupes Day 2 Afternoon Session- Sunday 23rd May 2021 1:15pm 6pm, Troupes- 10/u & 12/u Day 2 Evening Session Sunday 23rd May 2021 6pm to 9pm Open age Troupes Please note, this year it was impossible to keep everything on the one day for every age group. We needed to consider that we could not have young children performing late into the night & also consider the numbers of competitors in each age category. The following split also means we have spread out the competitors for safety & ensured no overcrowding. We would also like to advise that we could not have the 6s, 8s, 10s, & 12s on the one day or the 12/u would have been finishing after 10pm on the Sunday. 12/u Troupes alone will take approx. 3 hours.

18.01.2022 It's with a heavy heart that we announce Moondance 2020 has been cancelled. In what would have been our 18th year of competition, its certainly very sad to see the cancellation of live productions & dance competitions all around the world. We had gone to great lengths to secure a venue that could ensure the safety and well being of all our competitors & spectators. One that would also be commercially viable. However we have been advised that our booking cannot be confirmed at this time. We feel its only right to make this difficult decision now, before anymore hard work & rehearsal time is dedicated to our competition. We would like to thank the many Dance Studios that have offered us their support & patronage throughout the years & hope to see you again in 2021!

09.01.2022 Moondance 2020 update! In light of the Covid-19 pandemic we wish to inform our competition entrants of the following information... We are following recommendations from State & Federal Health & Education Departments & using that advice to guide our decision making process. Providing a safe environment for our competitors & spectators is our number one priority.... At this stage, Moondance 2020 will go ahead. We understand that we cannot hold an event for 500 or more at this time. We have strategies in place to ensure if our event in May was to go ahead we would spread spectators & competitors out to provide adequate space & limit numbers to less than 500. Of course this health issue evolves every day. So if it became apparent that we should not go ahead in May we will postpone until later in the year (warmer months).. We would then discuss the proposed date with the schools that have entered to find a mutually agreed date and/or possible refund. Please monitor this page and we will endeavor to keep everyone up to date as the competition date draws closer.

07.01.2022 July Update! Thanks everyone for your interest in our competition & many questions regarding Moondance. At present, our venue has advised us of it's restricted floor plan for the University Hall - maximum theatre style, with 1.5m social distancing is 166pax. They are more than happy to adjust any floor plans as soon as the NSW government update their advice. ... The Government has released protocol for large events to follow but has not yet given a start date for this next stage. We have been hoping for a start date before releasing any further info to our entrants. We are now in discussion with alternate, larger venues in the Illawarra & will make our decision whether we can safely go ahead in the next week.
