17.01.2022 Devastated to learn that my dear friend, Hapte Selassie, has passed away in Ethiopia. Hapte was such an inspiration with boundless energy and always thinking ho...w best to promote Ethiopia. I have interviewed him a number of times as part of my documentary on the Ethiopian tourism industry and spent many many hours with him going to the gym, sharing meals, stories and a passion for our culture. Hapte is widely known as the "Father of Ethiopian tourism" having created the "13 months of Sunshine" slogan. He contributed too many things to Ethiopia to mention here in this short post. He will be missed greatly. May he now rest in peace. See more
