21.01.2022 Practica tonight - Planeo into barrida. For many of you this will be your first introduction to planeos, so we are going to take it from the very beginning and aim to finish with a planeo that moves into a barrida. If you've always wanted to learn planeos, or perhaps don't even know what a planeo is, now is your chance! We don't recall this being taught here in Hobart, at least not for many years, so don't miss out.

Fundamental technique of walking and balance using the rhythms found in tango music. Mario says that this could very well be the most important workshop of the weekend, and who are we to argue. NOTE: this class is currently balanced so we can only take new bookings as leader/follower couples.

Not just a show-off step, follower sacadas require a good lead and responsive follow, plus good balance and confident stepping from the follower - all useful skills in any part of the dance.

We also have spaces for *new* bookings for lead/follow couples.... Tonight - "Cadenas, changes of direction and alterations": A cadena is a number of steps linked together into a repeating pattern. 15.01.2022 This week at Moonlight Tango - a huge week coming up! Mario and Anabella arrive in a couple of days for their first visit to Hobart and a week of awesome tango. A little bit of Buenos Aires in Hobart for a few days, get on board fellow tangophiles! Only a couple of days left to join the workshops so don't delay if you haven't made up your mind! At this stage we really need people to come as leader/follower couples to keep the workshops balanced, so if you want to take advanta...ge of the amazing Mario and Anabella then find a dance friend and bring them along. Of course the gala milonga this Saturday night is open to everyone. Mario and Anabella will be performing, and you really want to see this in person, watching videos online is great but doesn't do justice to the real thing. And in normal news, in Hobart tonight Week 2 of our introduction to tango course (7:15pm) and Week 2 of 2 of our "Creating Beautiful Ochos" microcourse (8:30pm). On Tuesday in Kingston, Week 2 of 2 of our "Crosses, barridas and ochos" microcourse at 7:30pm. http://www.moonlighttango.com.au http://www.moonlighttango.com.au/MarioAnabella2015.html
