13.01.2022 I was speaking to a friend this week about a job advertisement they had seen. it was a job they would LOVE. they would be AMAZING in this role. Literally their DREAM JOB! BUT. they have NO EXPERIENCE in this field. They are currently in a profession they HATE. Feel DISSATISFIED and UNMOTIVATED, UNAPPRECIATED and.... they WANT TO CHANGE PROFESSIONS to do something that brings HAPPINESS and EXCITEMENT. they are also willing to DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO UPSKILL to fit the requi...rements for this role. BUT. and this is where EGO steps in... What if they say NO? what if I look like an IDIOT for even applying? There is definitely someone out there who is BETTER THAN ME. Its just a PIPE DREAM... We spoke about how the worst thing that can happen is they say... "No thanks, but thanks for applying." Not exactly sending you to the gallows and atleast you asked the question and put yourself out there! OR... They say YES! WE WOULD LOVE TO GIVE YOU A CHANCE!! WELCOME TO THE TEAM!
