Despite various government initiatives to support pub gigs and artists we have been completely forgotten about. Minister for Creative Industries Danny Pearson this week announced a summer season of art, music and entertainment designed to enable Victorians to reconnect with COVID-safe cultural experiences. 03.01.2022 We are long term supporters and production suppliers to Amy's Gran Fondo which this year is a virtual, online event. 2020 sees us unable to start in Lorne instead the ride will be visiting the Volcano of Watopia, the Epic KOM will replace Mount Sabine before hitting the wonderful Jungle Circuit in place of the Great Otways. Wrapping things up, the event will head along the coastline of Downtown Watopia in celebration of the Great Ocean Road. where the event was set to take place. 01.01.2022 We are long term production suppliers to the Australian Road Race National Championships which we have done for the last 15 years. This year's version sees a date change due to COVID restrictions. Organisers hope this date change will ensure the Australian Road Race National Championships will go ahead with the event to take place in February instead of its usual January dates. The nationals will return to Ballarat for the 15th consecutive year in 2021 and will be a bright spot on what is set to be a quiet Australian summer of cycling after the cancellation of the Tour Down Under and Cadel's Road Race. Traditionally held in early January, event organisers have made the decision to hold this year's championships from February 3rd to February 7th. 01.01.2022 Many thanks to the Australian Live Music Business Council for undertaking the first comprehensive member survey earlier this month. The data from this survey is very sobering, key stats include: > 70% of Live music businesses won’t last more than 6 months; 30% will not last more than 3 months. > 73% report downturn of 75-100% revenue downturn in the last 6 months > Only 17% expect to benefit from RISE > 69% have had no rent release, 75% have had no form of commercial loan def...erral. Despite various State and Federal government initiatives the live music sector has largely been ignored. Wednesday 30th September will be a day of global action when music venues across the globe will be lit in red to raise awarenesses of this ongoing crisis.
