25.01.2022 MDJTA Finishes 3rd in 2019 Tennis Victorias Frank Sedgman Cup Congratulations to Savannah James, Ruby Kirkwood, Kurtis Bartholomeusz and Thomas Flood for a great performance at Traralgon over the weekend of the 27/28 July finishing 3rd out of teams from all over Victoria. The MDJTA team joined with the BRTA side to spend an hour with tennis legend Frank Sedgman at his home prior to the weekend, and got to see his collection of memorabilia from his tennis career gathered from his 75 years of involvement in tennis, including 5 Grand Slam singles titles (2 Australian, 2 US Open and a Wimbledon Singles title)

20.01.2022 Tennis Australia have issued guidelines for Tennis Competitions during the Corona Virus period. A copy of the document effective 12 March 2020 was circulated to all clubs yesterday. A copy of the document is available on the MDJTA website at http://www.mdjta.com.au/node/63... In addition MDJTA recommends that players do not shake hands or have other body to body contact (such as hugging or fist pumps) or share food or drink during a match. Further information will be circulated through the website, this facebook page and directly to club delegates if there are further changes.

Tennis Victoria’s Future Leaders Program enables our next generation of volunteers to work clo...sely with our local tennis clubs in creating welcoming environments on and off the tennis court. 15.01.2022 MDJTA wish to advise that the competition has been suspended until 20th April 2020. This encompasses this weekend 21/3 plus the school holidays and Easter period. A further announcement will be made prior to the 20th of April to advise if there will be a further extension of the suspension.... This decision has not been taken lightly but MDJTA feel that it is in the best for the entire community and follows the advice of Tennis Australia. We look forward to resuming the competition as soon circumstances permit.

13.01.2022 The Spring Season of MDJTA came to a conclusion on Saturday December 8 with all Grand Finals completed. There are over 1,000 kids playing Saturday morning tennis with MDJTA, congratulations to all players if they were in the finals or otherwise and thanks to all players, parents, club administrators and coaches for making such a great season.
