24.01.2022 Good luck to all the kids (and parents!) starting their school journey this week or next! What an exciting time for everyone and let's hope this year is a bit more normal than last...
16.01.2022 Only 1 more sleep until our doors are back open for 2021! We're so excited to be moving to a 'Covid Normal' this year, which means... *Opening hours back to normal *No pre-booking needed... *Social distancing and density limits still apply *Please wear your mask *Children need to be kept at your side if they come with you Can't wait to see you all soon!
16.01.2022 We were so excited to have Mamma Knows South visit us today and have a play with some of our fantastic range of toys! We are open tomorrow as usual 10am-1pm, see you there!
14.01.2022 Well things have moved swiftly with a snap 7 day lockdown from 11:59pm tonight. We have decided to open from 7pm - 9pm tonight for your last minute toy swapping as we will be closed tomorrow, Saturday and Wednesday evening next week. There are openings on the roster for last minute volunteering for tonight too :)... During the next week, we will review our capacity to transition back to a temporary click and collect service accessible for members living inside 5km and will keep you informed of the outcome. Hopefully this won't be needed and we will be able to re-open next Friday. We are thinking of you all as we go into another lockdown, and wish you a safe and sane time at home with your families. Megan, Emma and the Moorabbin Area Toy Library Committee
13.01.2022 Our Sensory Floor tiles have been such a hit since we bought them it's a rare sighting to actually see them in the library! So much fun for all ages! Photo credit Mamma Knows South

07.01.2022 Summer holidays often means that the kids are allowed to stay up a little later, so why not try some of these fun after-dark play ideas! Inspo from @getthekidsoutside a great account to follow if you aren't already.
05.01.2022 Huge shoutout to all our members that donated to @thenappycollective We have dropped off the nappies at their location. With enough nappies to completely fill our collection box!!! We do love making positive impacts in our community outside of just toys If you don't know anything about @thenappycollective, this amazing organisation collects leftover unused nappies and redistributes them to families in crisis across Australia. Pretty cool.
04.01.2022 That's right Click & Collect is back! We have opened bookings for this Saturday and next, 10-11am. Simply log on, select preferred time slot and choose your toys! This Saturday is almost full already so obviously a lot of you are looking for fresh toys to help you through!
03.01.2022 Click and Collect will start on Saturday 5th June between 10-11am. Please note that under current restrictions we can only allow borrowing for members who live in our 10km radius. How do I use the Service? You can book toys for the Click and Collect service through SETLS, our online toy library system, click to login to SETLS. You will need to choose a collection time to create a virtual basket which you can then fill with toys! To make things easy, we've created a shor...t 'How To' video for you which can be found in your recent email. When you come to collect your toys they will be bundled and placed outside the library and labeled with your name. Please don't arrive earlier than your time as your toys won't be ready. If you miss your time please email us ASAP to reschedule Do not visit if you are feeling at all unwell, please rest up at home and re-book for a later date. Cleaning your toys properly, including the bags and boxes, is incredibly important. For a full explanation on how to clean your toys, see our website. Clean toys are critical to the success of Click and Collect as we are running with very limited staff hours and no duty volunteers. If we need to clean your toys then we can't continue to operate this service. We really appreciate your cooperation with this. What if Click and Collect isn't for me? As we all now know COVID makes for an unpredictable future. We can't wait to have you back inside the toy library browsing the toys but we don't know when that will be so we would encourage you to utilise this service. If you need support to do so please contact us. See more
