08.01.2022 Sosai Mas Oyama. Today is the anniversary of the passing of the founder of Kyokushin Karate. Sosai Masutatsu (Mas) Oyama... Sosai gave us all the training that instilled in us the strength and self belief to become everything we would dream of. At training we often recite the Dojo Kun or oath which offers insights into just what Sosai and Kyokushin really means to us all. When you read and understand it, you will see that it was written to show respect for kyokushin, it’s teachings as an art and importantly respect for others within as well as outside the dojo. Here are the words of the Dojo Kun. We will train our hearts and bodies for a firm unshaken spirit. We will pursue the true meaning of the martial way so that in time our senses may be alert. With true vigour we will seek to cultivate a spirit of self denial. We will observe the rules of courtesy, respect our superiors and refrain from violence. We will follow our God or Buddha and never forget the true virtue of humility. We will look upwards to wisdom and strength, not seeking other desires. All our lives, through the discipline of karate, we will seek to fulfil the true meaning of the kyokushin way. R.I.P. Sosai Mas Oyama. Always fondly remembered. OSU

07.01.2022 Some of the breaks from our 2018 tameshiwari seminar, well done to all involved!! This is but a few of almost one hundred breaks for the night!! OSU!

03.01.2022 Today we held our kids grading at Moorabbin Kyokushin Karate. All the kids did extremely well and yes they all passed. Each will be notified of their results within the next few weeks, along with certificates and new belts. ... A special mention goes to the most inspiring student of the day. He refused to give up when he was pushed beyond his limits, he raised his own bar and everybody in the dojo could see just how hard he was trying against higher grades who were older and more experienced than him. Well done Luca, everybody is extremely proud of you... OSU The Spirit of Kyokushin Never Gives Up....
