24.01.2022 We are still searching for this man’s home. We can tell you that he was part of a litter and when the breeder submitted the microchip paperwork it was mixed up with another of the puppies at the time. He is only young. Do you recognise him? If so please call Community Safety on 5366 7100.

23.01.2022 To our pawrents of Moorabool-can you share your thoughts on what you think can help support best health and well-being practises within our municipality? Have your say below

22.01.2022 Little Zappa boy came to us nearly 3 weeks ago. After contacting the microchipped owner they advised they had given him away many years ago. Sadly this happens all too often-we frequently impound animals whose microchips are out of date. Luckily this little guy, after waiting some time for his owners to come forward, has gone into the care of one of our fantastic rescues. He will spend some time in a home as they assess his behaviour and address any medical follow up needed. Thanks again Puppy Tales Rescue and Rehoming Inc for working with us

20.01.2022 Someone has taken the time to desex me but I don’t yet have a microchip. I was found in Jonathan Drive in Darley. My owners may know that I really don’t like other cats. Please help me find my way home.

18.01.2022 How gorgeous is Miss Ally? When Ally came into our care a few weeks ago she was very shy and worried about the world around her. She slowly came out of her shell but we knew she still had a way to go before her true personality would shine. Luckily the most perfect and kind family came long. When Tracey and her family saw Ally they knew she was the perfect choice-and they were willing to be patient while Ally settled in to her new place. Just three weeks on and the families patience and gentle coaxing has paid off-shy miss Ally has been a true delight and a wonderful gift for this family. We couldn’t be more thrilled with this perfect match!

14.01.2022 India and Iris are still waiting for their new homes. India is bold and curious and loves to explore new surroundings and play with toys. Iris has grown in confidence-as she grows and becomes settled with us her brightly sparkly side is emerging and she is truly a delightful little cuddle bug Source BR100609 ... Microchips: 991 003 001 047 185 991 003 001 047 178 All out cats are desexed, microchipped, had an initial vaccination and have had worm and flea control.

12.01.2022 Atlantis adopted India, Atlantis and Iris are all looking for their new homes. India (with the black stripe on her nose) is a very confident kitten. She loves a good cuddle from her human friends and is always up for a play. Her cheeky personality is sure to delight anyone that meets her. Atlantis is a little shy. Once she has settled into her new surroundings her brave side emerges and she loves to snuggle down in your arms to help her feel safe and loved. Iris (medium ...haired) is similar to Atlantis in that she needs a home where her family can help her overcome her shy tendencies. Once she is settled and feels safe she relaxes. She loves to throw a little soft toy around in the air and catch it. All three kittens are approximately 2 months old, desexed, microchipped, had their first vaccination and also had worm and flea treatment. Their adoption fee is $120 per kitten or $180 for a pair. Adoption is strictly by appointment only. If you would like to meet these three please contact Community Safety on 5366 7100. 11.01.2022 On the morning of the 2nd February Ellen popped her cat outside for a quick dose of sun while she popped out of the house for an appointment. When she returned home he was nowhere to be seen. Heartbreakingly Ellen concluded that he had wandered off. On that same day we received a call from a concerned resident who found a cat that didn’t look well. The kind resident brought the cat into our care where we discovered he was almost 17 years old. The contact numbers were not cor...rect, the address was outside of our muncipality, the council he was microchipped to had no further details, the local vet clinic had no details and we sadly concluded this was a cat whose owner had moved to our Shire but forgot to update the microchip details. We sent a letter to the last known address and began the task of looking for a rescue for a cat that was clearly very loved. Imagine our surprise to receive a phone call from Ellen who had received a notice to say we have her cat in our care. But the astonishing thing is that Ellen lives in Brimbank City Council and her cat was found in Moorabool Shire Council. Please; if you find an animal you think needs to be taken into the care of a pound make every effort to transport it to the closest one where the animal was found-a quick Google search of the suburb you are in and ‘what council is this’ will help you find the municipality you are in and you can then contact the council for further advice. And lastly. We can not say this say enough. Please ensure your animals microchip details are current-ensure your address details are correct, your contact numbers and secondary contact details are still true and correct. A microchip is only useful if the details on it are current. To keep your details up to date go to http://www.petaddress.com.au/ to find out which register your pets microchip is on. Bella’ the fella’ (long story ) was reunited with his very very grateful mum yesterday and is safely snuggled up at home. Which is exactly where an almost 17 year old cat belongs!

09.01.2022 A storm is coming Make sure your animal has access to a ‘safe zone’ such as a small dark hiding spot so they have somewhere to go if they feel unsafe. If your animal is outdoors only make sure they have access to a sheltered area. Did you know if your dog or cat is found by a member of public and it’s wearing it’s registration tag we can organise for the animal to get directly back home to you-make sure your dog or cat is wearing it’s current registration tag to get it ho...me quicker. 07.01.2022 Cherry is a chatter box. It’s almost hard to get a photo of her when she isn’t speaking! Although she’s still working on getting more comfortable with getting picked up and held she’s more then happy to follow you around and natter away. All day long in fact. As you can see she’s had a minor medical procedure carried out on her tail but this doesn’t affect her and currently is not causing or likely to cause any long term issues. Cherry is a 3 year old DSH. If you would like... more information on her please call Community Safety on 5366 7100. Microchip 991 003 003 716 031 Source BR100609
