22.01.2022 Optimal health & well-being for me is the desire to: ~ Know I can run & chase after my kids whilst still having energy to burn ~ Show that I can lift my kids high in the pool launching them like rockets & soak up the fits of laughter ~ Attempt & fail @ things such as handstands & cartwheels alongside my girls but showing them I will never give up, I will persevere in getting stronger to one day soon be able to do so beside them.... ~ Be able to move with no pain or niggles & do so right up until I am at least 100 ~ Growing old but still having the desire to learn & challenge myself ~ Mentally/emotionally being AOK most of the time, focusing on solutions for the majority rather than the problems & feeling grateful + content ~ Taking time for me, just me... ~ Feeling well in mind, body & spirit! ~ Eating the foods that I enjoy, which tell a story about culture or my personal likes & not feeling any guilt whatsoever Most importantly in a world of too many advertisements around ‘not being enough’ & with statistics that should scare everyone about the insecurities around body image.... I am a mother of 3 young beautiful, strong little girls who I plan to continue to showcase to them to be around the people who elevate you, to be ok with being exactly who they are, to chase the feeling of being healthy, fit & strong in ALL aspects of their lives by modelling these behaviours myself. My girls will know that they are enough, they are strong & that it is AOK to love themselves no matter what anyone else says or thinks, this is my legacy to them & I hope to anyone I am lucky enough to impact. 21.01.2022 How would you rate your pelvic floor health?!? Let’s try this pelvic floor/post natal testing tool: Drink 300ml of water Wait 20mins & then Try to jump on the spot for a full minute then... Complete 5 star jumps then; Cough twice Do you have complete control over your bladder during this test? If not, there are things we can do to help. Don’t ignore symptoms & just laugh it off. You do not need to feel embarrassed or ashamed at all! Pelvic Floor health CAN be improved with correct assessments by a Women’s Health physio (if available) or any physiotherapist will be able to help develop an care plan for you & provide support. Pelvic floor issues can be common however please don’t assume this has to be your new normal. If you are still unsure of where to go to find support I am more than happy to try help. I can try to help through my own skill set whilst also trying to find you the best person to talk to & then work alongside your physio to create a fantastic support system. 16.01.2022 One word check in with no need for explanation... how are you? Me = OVERWHELMED! So this morning I changed things up. I woke early, put on my joggers, put some meditation on & went outside to enjoy some much needed fresh air & a big walk.... I was able to watch the sun rise & from my recent feelings of being overwhelmed (also = sad, scared, exhausted, frustrated but have still enjoyed moments of happiness & some laughter) I have instead returned home feeling heaps better & grateful I have the opportunity of a new day & a new week. It’s ok to feel uncertain & have lots of mixed emotions, especially at the moment. The truth is WE don’t know but we do still have choices we can make. Name what it is you’re feeling, ask yourself is their any real truth to the said emotion by putting it into context & allow yourself the space you need to work through them. Karls

14.01.2022 Do you plan to get back into those jeans in 14 days? Do you plan to get your pre-baby body back ASAP? Investing in detoxes, magic pills or potions, or even equipment like the ones you’ve seen on those infomercials that will have you losing 10kg in 2 weeks? ... Sorry to burst the bubble but these products & broken promises are doing you a MASSIVE disservice & do so in a sneaky way to keep you coming back again & again, spending more & more money time & time again. They want you to fail & generally encourage habits that aren’t sustainable because this will mean you will require to keep going back. Ever signed up for a 28 day health challenge, one where you are given that meal plan & support to push hard, challenge yourself physically but then 4 days in you are already starting to count down how many days you have left?!? I am definitely a strong advocate for investing in your own health, fitness & well-being. YES I think that projects to improve you & better yourself are an amazing gift. YES sometimes you need added support, accountability & specialised care which WILL require you to invest in and rightly so as quality support & service comes from years of University degrees, training & or experience, BUT I will call BS to all businesses & products giving you: broken promises setting you up to fail continuing to push a one size fits all fad diet encouraging unhealthy relationships with food encouraging old school exercise methodology to overtrain, under eat & under recover not asking you more personalised questions & building strong foundations from most importantly your mental health, mindset, building healthy habits/sustainable changes & beyond. If you want a quick fix I am NOT the coach for you! I am Honest Set realistic expectations I am not just your standard PT. I have years of expertise & experience in Female, Health & Performance I will ask some home truths & hard hitting questions to uncover the important things Your overall health & well-being is important to me Will work with specialised allied health professionals to give ensure the care you need! Frustrated Disappointed Perhaps like it’s all too hard/too much that you just give up? If you are too busy focusing all your energy on just racing to get the whole way around, would this not take away the magic of each & every little town, the communities, the hidden campgrounds, bucket list destinations, sights & experiences that you might have? 06.01.2022 I CALL BULLSH*T! This year has been a lot of things for my family & I, amongst lots of change, a few moments of struggle but reflecting back their has been so many moments to truly cherish especially being in our own home & the camping adventures But in a time of reflection, for me to say that I have truly put in with my regular training & filling my own cup as a priority..... I call bullshit! ... In life there are ebbs & flows, this year I feel there have been many for me and as a result my main focus has been the comforting of my family & the focus of my mental well-being which was far more important to me than consistently hitting the numbers on a bar. This has been totally ok & I have been kind to myself by allowing myself the space to do what I needed to but I am finally getting ready to pivot again! 03.01.2022 If this year has taught me anything it’s that YES you may have to restart over & over again, things will change, your focus on health will ebb & flow with life humps going from mental health, to physical health to anything in between & hopefully doing a full circle back to anything that makes you feel that better version of yourself.
