25.01.2022 SAFETY SWITCHES Every home should have a safety switch. In Victoria it is mandatory to install safety switches in new builds and homes that have electrical renovations done. ... Safety switches work by monitoring the flow of electricity through a circuit and detects problems. A safety switch will shut off the electric in 0.03 seconds. Check your meter box to see if your home has a safety switch. Test it regularly by pressing the Test or T button. A cheap and simple way to save lives. See more

19.01.2022 It’s amazing to see other countries electrical setups. On a recent trip to Penang, Malaysia we came across a row of sheds (1st pic) which roll out and they become shops at the Night Market. The next couple of pics are how the lights and cables are stored during the day. It may not be to our regulations but it works for them! . .... #electrician #aroundtheworldelectrical @ Penang Island See more

14.01.2022 An electrician’s job isn’t just about wiring houses and putting power points in etc. There is also a lot of behind the scene work that goes on. Here are plans for townhouses that we are quoting up. No job is too little or too big! #electrician

11.01.2022 Now that summer is gone and winter is just around the corner, it is now the time to do a quick safety check on your electric appliances before use ELECTRIC BLANKETS Always check electric blankets for any damage or frayed cords, if there is, it's time to get a new one. Frayed cords are one of the common causes of electrical faults... Never go to bed with your electric blanket on, always switch it off before going to bed or leaving the house Never fold electric blankets for storage as it may damage your blanket. Leave it on the bed and make sure your electric blanket is laid out flat PORTABLE HEATERS Make sure heaters are at least one meter away from any other items especially curtains, furniture and bedspreads Always make sure all heaters are turned off as soon as you leave the room or the house Never run a heater cord under carpet or furniture. It can cause the cord to overheat and start a fire CEILING FANS Some of you might not realise that your ceiling fans can be switched from summer to winter setting. There is a little switch above the blades on most ceiling fans. When it is set for summer, the blades draw the heat up away from the floor towards the ceiling. When set for winter, the blades push the warm air from the roof and circulate it through the room. So check your fans and make the switch!

11.01.2022 While walking the lane ways in Bali we came across a work site where the electrician had been busy. Looks like it is going to be a hotel. Also got to love the bamboo scaffolding #baliconstruction

09.01.2022 This entry was fitted with a Crown 6 Light Flush Mount in Chrome with Crystal. We had to manually put it together with 50 individual crystal pieces. Swipe across to see the shadows and patterns it makes when switched on. Definitely a decorative statement piece! This is a great piece if you don’t have the height for a chandelier but you still want the wow factor. #ballaratelectrician #electrician @beaconlighting
