23.01.2022 Moore Park Beach Men's Shed will be holding it's first meeting since lockdown on Saturday, 8 August 2020, at 9.30am. This will also be our AGM, which was postponed due to Covid19. All Management positions will be vacant. All nominations for positions should be submitted in writing and signed by a seconder prior to the date Late nominations MAY be accepted on the day, subject to a vote.... After the AGM, we will be addressed by Clr Jason Bartels who will give us an update on the new shed. As always, new members are welcome to join, but may not vote unless they are financial. 19.01.2022 The Moore Park Beach Men's Shed would like to thank everyone who attended our official opening today and helped us celebrate this milestone. Special thanks go to Ken O'Dowd MP, Stephen Bennett MP, and Cnr Jason Bartels who attended and helped with the formalities. The fact that representatives from all three levels of government took time out of their busy schedules to attend was much appreciated and is indicative of the importance placed on Men's Sheds within the community.... A special thanks goes to Anne Pickering and family for the donation of the use of their property by the Moore Park Beach Men's Shed following the death of a husband and father. You are special people to have done this for your community. Like this page, and keep an eye out for upcoming events. We are a serious, but mischievous bunch and you never know what we'll get up to next to help support the community and men's health. Thank you to all who made the day a great success.

18.01.2022 MELBOURNE CUP DAY! The Moore Park Beach Men's Shed have booked a table at the Tavern for Melbourne Cup Day. At this stage, it's for a table of 20 but we'd love to help the shed (and the pub) and book more tables.... So if you want to join the fun, contact John Auston and reserve your spot. 16.01.2022 A big thanks to everyone who helped make the first Moore Park Beach Men's Shed Car Boot Sale day a great success. We had two dozen assorted stall holders attending, we saw a great variety of goods on sale. Virtually all stall holders were happy with the day, and stated that they would like to be included in the next sale. A great big thank you to all the public who attended and helped not only support the Men's Shed, but also helped make the day a big success. A special than...k you goes to all those who bought their dogs along. It helped give the day a family atmosphere. We even had a car for sale. Thank you to all who participated, and thanks for helping the Men's Shed help the local community. Well done all. See more

11.01.2022 Great news! The Moore Park Beach Men's Shed is again allowed to re-open (with some spacing restrictions) commencing this Tuesday, 2nd June 2020. We look forward to seeing old friends again, and welcome new members to come along and enjoy the companionship, and help us help the community. The next 6 months will be an exciting time for the Men's Shed and other local groups with the development of the proposed new multi-purpose facility in Moore Park Beach.... Where: 198 Murdochs Rd Moore Park Beach. Site cost: First time site fee of $10/site. (Approx. 3m x 3m)... Bring your car, bring your trailer, truck or marquee. Bring your plants, produce, products or just stuff you don't need any more. 01.01.2022 Bike ride! The fellas are at it again. They're having another push bike ride next Wednesday (4 November) starting at the Men's Shed at 12.15pm and ending at the BBQ area near the caravan park at about 1pm (so it's not a long ride) where they'll have a sausage sizzle lunch. The last ones proved pretty popular and anyone - regardless of age or gender - is welcome to attend.... For those who can't ride, or don't have a bike, you're still welcome to attend at the BBQ area. 01.01.2022 The Moore Park Beach Men's Shed Car Boot Sale is on this Sunday, 30 June, starting at 9.00am. The venue has moved to the MPB Oval so parking won't be a problem. So far, we have over 20 stalls booked, but sites are still available. So come along. Have a sausage sizzle, or the kids can have a slushie while you browse for a bargain. 01.01.2022 Boat launch! The bloke's have been busy. They've built a kayak with timber, and it is surprisingly light in weight. It is going to have it's inaugural launch this Sunday (1 Nov) at 10am at the Bucca Rowing Club. Anyone who would like to see whether they float or swim can turn up and watch the fun.... All are welcome to come along and, if you want, bring the family and a picnic lunch and enjoy the river. There is even a whisper that someone is going to bring a BBQ along just in case someone has some sausages (and onions) that they need cooked. It is BYO food and drinks, and if you don't do picnic lunches, there is always the Bucca Pub. Launch time is 10am. We'd love to see you there to cheer them on.
