23.01.2022 Thank you Jason Bartels Councillor for Division 1 for dropping in this morning. Jason briefed me on his plan to work with council to develop a MPB Master Plan - which I hope would improve outcomes for MPB businesses by increasing visitor numbers to our town. We also discussed the need for best beach access for residents, particularly those with mobility issues. Finally he mentioned the proposed storage facilities for local clubs nearby the Moore Park Beach Bowls Club Inc whic...h would help in allowing our town to provide many opportunities to join a community group. Good luck in the upcoming council election Jason. Look forward to meeting Scott Allison for Division 1 who is dropping by the pharmacy next week.

16.01.2022 DELIVERIES! We're starting up a delivery service for those that need to self-isolate and can't get to the pharmacy to collect their medications. Pharmacies have been approved strict government funding to provide ONE free delivery per person per calendar month. We will be doing our deliveries every THURSDAY.... To have your medication delivered you need to: - have at least ONE prescription medication delivered (you can have other front shop items with it); - have your scripts on file at the pharmacy; - order your scripts by calling us or using our FREE Prescription App; - be able to pay over the phone using credit card; - order your delivery throughout the week, before Thursday 10am; - reside in Moore Park Beach. Subsequent deliveries in the month will be charged at $5.00 per delivery. We may change things with our delivery service, but will endeavour to let everyone know on Facebook. We hope that this makes things easier for those who have to stay at home to protect themselves. Stay safe! Moore Park Beach Pharmacy Team.

06.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone! Just a notice that whilst we aren't doing Flu Vaccines at MPB this year, we do have stock that arrived at Priceline Pharmacy Bundaberg this week. Appointments can be made on the Priceline web site. Certificates of vaccination can be provided for work places or Aged Care facility entry requirements.

05.01.2022 Covid-19 Update: Hi everyone, we are implementing some changes in the pharmacy with the recent viral outbreak. If you have any coughing, fever or sore throat and you may have been exposed to someone with the virus or have recently travelled, please call the pharmacy before you come in. We may refer you to the hospital for testing.... We are trying to minimise patient-staff contact and have removed the need to have scripts signed. We are also not currently taking blood pressure in store. To minimise patient-patient contact, please consider dropping your script in and coming back to collect rather than waiting in store. Other options are the after-hours script slot in our window, calling the pharmacy ahead for your script (if you keep it on file), or the use of our pharmacy App to order your script online. We'll be posting info about the App shortly. You will see staff doing more cleaning that usual to maintain hygiene - this is not indicative of a current infection in store. Should you present with possible Covid-19 symptoms, we may ask you to put on a disposable mask. This is standard precaution, not a diagnosis. We are considering a home delivery service and are looking at ways to implement this with staffing levels. Will post more about this when we can. Lastly, please consider that our staff also have families at home. It is quite possible that the pharmacy hours may change if some of our staff need to look after family members. We back them 100% and will do our best to communicate this on Facebook, but please do not run out of your medication. Keep a supply, but not a surplus. Be aware of Covid-19 symptoms from Government information sources and don't panic. We are all working as hard as ever and I am so appreciative of the work Dwight, Vita, Mandy and Amanda are doing. They were actually scheduled to go to the Gold Coast for a pharmacy conference to do training and have some R&R. This obviously hasn't proceeded and all of them just assumed it was back to business as usual without being asked. They are doing a great job as a front-line healthcare team. Adam

02.01.2022 Thanks to Scott Allison for Division 1 for dropping by the pharmacy this morning. Scott was very passionate about accessibility for residents to all parts of MPB. This included wheelchair beach access and assistance getting to and from our local shops. Scott was critical about the amount of expenditure on roads for MPB. Whilst he acknowledged it's State funding, he felt that local council can do further to push for funding for our roads here in MPB. He agreed with the need fo...r a MPB Master Plan, but wanted a quicker turnaround from planning to implementation in comparison to what Burnett Heads and Elliott Heads experienced. Lastly, by chance, one of our customers voiced concerns over an incident at the IGA Supermarket on the weekend and the public toilet situation at the shopping centre. Tenants have been given a directive to not loan out the toilet key, as a result a visitor to our region was not impressed by the lack of public toilet access at the centre. Scott discussed this with the customer whilst I will contact our landlord to update them. Thanks again for coming by Scott, good luck in the upcoming council election!
