19.01.2022 During our outdoor time yesterday, we came across this tranquil place. We wanted to cross the creek. Our dog had other ideas. She wouldn't cross from rock... to rock. She froze and would not take that step. She was stuck but managed to turn around and get back to the bank of the creek. There, she was safe. My daughter crossed and even her calling our dog didn't make a difference. The fear this dog has when it comes to being off the ground or having to walk over something like a grate is unbelievable! This story reminds me of how we humans, may also have a fear of taking that step in life. That step, if we choose to take it, will take us out of our comfort zone and propell us to future goals. It's like being stuck and unsure how to step over something that isn't there, like the gaps between these rock steps. Who else has felt this at some stage in their life? 05.01.2022 For many years I've tried to wear all the hats so I didn't let other people down. What I've learnt is this...I've been letting myself down by being everything for everyone else. But...no more! I now know that...... It's ok not to be the strong one all the time. It's ok to have some down time to rest and reflect, so that I can get back up again. And, it's ok to be ME for ME. Not for everyone else.
