23.01.2022 Six perfect pup-sicles ! Sired by frozen semen they were created and then delivered at Moorong Vets earlier this week. Frozen semen enables worldwide transportation of premium genetics enabling us to help owners deliver very special litters of pups. Proud mum Hex is going to be very busy raising these beauties! @pantatheang_s_d #ai #veterinarian #germanshepherd #theriogenology #vetmed #puppies #puppiesofinstagram
23.01.2022 ‘Can I take a sample to look at under the microscope’ is something that we often ask. But what does ‘under the microscope look like? This is what cancer looks like. The large purplish cells with tiny purple dots are cancerous mast cells. Early surgical removal is often curative so always get lumps and bumps checked just in case #pathology #veterinary #mastcell #getchecked

21.01.2022 To do this weekend: worm your pets! All animals big and small (including humans) can get worms and a simple all wormer tablet or solution treats a worm infestation. If you need advice give us a call. We can also easily test faeces to check for worms. #tapeworm #pets #nowormsplease #veterinary
21.01.2022 Paws-itively perfect pup Lulu was in today for a second vaccination and deworming Vaccination to prevent parvovirus is essential for pups at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age and they shouldn’t wander around the streets of Wagga until after that final vaccination because Parvo is a deadly virus and very common in Wagga #pomeranian #spitz #puppylove #puppiesofinstagram #veterinarian #vaccinateyourpets #cutepatient #waggawagga
21.01.2022 Mikeys Monday face matches mine! He was in today for a vaccination and took a little convincing Dr Maddie was a friend but they got there in the end . In Wagga cats need a minimum of an F3 vaccination to prevent panleukopaenia and cat flu and if they are outdoorsy types an FIV (feline AIDS) vaccination is definitely required #grumpycats #mondaymood #veterinarian #catsofinstagram #vaccinateyourpets
20.01.2022 An amazing achievement by our beautiful Dr Pip. An awesome vet with a very bright future ahead of her Dr Pip was a recipient of the 2019 CVE Clinical Competency Award. Only 7 of these awards were given in the whole of Australia. We are very proud of you Pip
20.01.2022 Snake warning the weather is warming up and snakes are a risk to pets. Dr Roses top tips: 1 Keep your yard tidy and minimise snake habitat near pets 2 Keep cats indoors overnight (they love to hunt!) 3 Keep your dog on a lead when out walking 4 If you suspect a bite contact the clinic immediately 6921 3462 we are on call 24hrs. ... Thanks Gus for being the clinic dog model and sharing this important warning https://www.prime7.com.au/news/29548-on-the-move
20.01.2022 Another Friday, another intestinal foreign body removal for Dr Maddie. Monty ate a huge sewing needle a couple of weeks ago and his owner sent a photo of him turning on the cuteness post recovery Dogs eat all sorts of things that can get stuck in their gastrointestinal tract. Dr Maddie has removed bedding, a huge sewing needle, a rotten grass seed, plastic and a piece of fabric from different dogs in the last couple of weeks. Be careful what you let your dog chew on to reduce the risk and in pups that chew everything its really worth considering pet insurance to soften the financial blow. We havent seen one in a little while, but corn cobs are the perfect size to get stuck in the intestines so never give your dog corn on the cob #vetmed #vetsurgery #2amsurgery #hardwork #exlap

19.01.2022 Distichiasis was the cause of Arias very sore eye today. If you look very closely you can see spikey little hairs on the underside of her upper eyelid that have scratched a hole in the surface of her eye. The scratch is stained green with fluorescein to enable us to see it clearly. The hairs have been plucked out but will probably require permanent removal to prevent ongoing corneal ulcers. A sore eye is always an emergency #weimaraner #veterinarian #vetmedicine #cornealulcer #districhiasis
18.01.2022 A dental can make a huge difference Keeping teeth clean makes your pets breath smell better, prevents decay, tooth loosening, tooth loss, and even prevents systemic spread of bacteria. Have a look in your pets mouth and if you see anything nasty its worth getting a dental checkup #veterinary #veterinarydentistry #healthymouth

18.01.2022 Spot the CORN COB! You can see the corn texture next to the little arrow and huge dilated (dark grey) intestines because of the total intestinal blockage. Never ever feed your dog a corn cob as they just about always have to be surgically removed

13.01.2022 Phantom pregnancy this gorgeous kelpie is mothering and trying to feed her baby tennis balls! Dogs have an interesting reproductive cycle where their hormones are the same regardless of whether they are pregnant or not and in some but not all dogs this results in the physical and psychological effects of pregnancy and birth. Signs include not eating, nesting, digging holes, lethargy, mothering behaviours, a swollen belly, milk and feeding pretend puppies (socks, toys or in this case tennis ). In a week or two this lovely girl will be back to normal and will come in to the clinic for desexing to prevent future phantom pregnancies #kelpie #kelpiesofinstagram #phantompregnancy #tennisballs #veterinary
