17.01.2022 Don't forget... this Monday 24th August is a Student Free Day!!

16.01.2022 DAY 2 - Camp For the 'Beyond Limits' activities, our students were split into 2 tribes. In some activities the Tribes competed against each other and in others they split into their groups and did the events separately. On day 2 one group did the Flying Kiwi while the other group did the Survivor Challenge, and then they swapped. The Flying Kiwi is like a big swing... you had to rely on your team mates to hoist you into the air so you could then enjoy the amazing view! So man...y of our students faced their fears to take part... it was amazing to see! In the Survivor Challenge they were split into smaller groups and had to make their way through the course together as a team, not leaving anyone behind all while one member at a time was blindfolded! In the afternoon we took a short walk down to the beach for some fun games. Again, the students worked in their 2 tribes on a number of activities. In the first one, they had to dig under a pool noodle to get to the other side. They could not touch the noodle at all; otherwise they had a 10 count penalty. The team that made it through the quickest was the winner! The next game was a challenge they had to fill a large tub with sea water using only a couple of buckets that had holes. Next was a creative challenge where they had to construct trenches to take the water they had collected back to the sea. What teamwork! See more

13.01.2022 Happy New Year! We wish you all the very best for the coming year... may it only bring you wonderful things

12.01.2022 Next week is Book Week!! We will be celebrating with a parade on Wednesday. Students are encouraged to dress-up in the theme of "Curious Minds, Wild Creatures" or come dressed as a character from a book (would be great if they brought along the book as well!) Parents / Grandparents / Siblings are welcome to join in too

12.01.2022 Our Book Week parade did not fail to impress again this year.... such an amazing effort by our students, staff, siblings and parents! It is always a bit a fun to dress-up and celebrate Book Week every year. Thank you to everyone who participated

12.01.2022 Don't forget.... Walk Safely to School Day is tomorrow! 8:15am at the Moorook Store or 8:30am at the Corner of Loxton Drive and Wachtel Road

12.01.2022 Wow! Day one of camp has been BIG!! After a break in Murray Bridge for lunch, we made it to Adare. First up was the Brain Twister Relay where our students had to work as a team to make it through a series of activities. From Bean Bag Toss to The Holy Tarp to Dominoes, our students showed awesome perseverance, determination and teamwork. After a quick break, we rolled into the Water Obstacle course - which involved a bit of water! The two tribes had to go through the obstacles as a team to throw buckets, squeeze out water, fill up buckets and unlock a treasure chest at the end and complete a puzzle. It was great to hear so much encouragement from the students for their teams. Can't wait to see what Day 2 brings!

11.01.2022 Good luck to our Year 7 students who are attending a transition day to Loxton High School today.... you've got this!!

10.01.2022 We have been using the Scratch JR programme to learn about Coding. Students had three tasks, 1. Create a frog jumping along some lily pads, 2. Create a race with three animals racing along the screen, one coming first, one coming second and one third, 3. Create a city scene with a car changing size and moving along the road. Our JP coded and created these backgrounds and scenes from a blank screen. They are such quick learners and loved the challenge!! Well done JP’s!!

16.10.2021 One focus of our SRC this year has been to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. As part of our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) programme over the last two terms, students have been developing ideas to create and sell items. The Year 6/7s were given a $300 budget for materials with the knowledge that profits from their sales would be donated. The interest in their projects led to middle and junior primary students creating their own products for sale. The items were unveiled to the public at our ‘Colour for Cancer’ fundraiser last Friday, with great success! If you did not get a chance to shop on Friday, we will be having a stall at the Barmera Markets on Sunday and we would love to see you there!
