03.02.2022 We have finally been able to open up under safe covid rules and were able to hold our AGM today. Ken was elected as President, Peter as Vice President, Sue as Secretary and Richard as Treasurer, we wish them every success. Many thanks to John and Stephen, our outgoing President and Secretary, your commitment and effort over many years is greatly appreciated.
28.01.2022 Mooroolbark Men's Shed has some items of machinery which are surplus to requirements. Currently we have a small bandsaw and a thicknesser for sale. These items have been tested for electrical safety. If you are interested please call our Sales Coordinator, John Osip, on 0451 114 014. "Full Boar" Bandsaw, 250mm with instruction book. Would sit nicely on a bench top. The stand is missing. In good condition and full working order. $199 Ryobi Thicknesser model AP13AK. In good condition and full working order, a set of new blades is included. There is no printed manual but it can found on the internet. $349

18.01.2022 Well here it is, our new home, going to be a big day when we get to move in. Thanks to all for getting this far. Our guys at the shed plus the guys who worked behind the scenes to get to this stage. A few more jobs to be done in the coming weeks. Great things in the pipeline for the future.
17.01.2022 It was suggested we have an away from the shed day, known as C.L.O.F. day. Yesterday was our first day, morning coffee at the Red Relish Cafe in Yarra Junction, then onto the historic trestle bridge and restored Noojee railway station and finally a counter lunch at the Noojee pub. A good had by all this may become a monthly event.

17.01.2022 The Shed this week..... We have restored two 70 year old high chairs, clear panels were fitted to a cupboard for Nourish Network in Mooroolbark, this will be used to store donated food for the needy, four 'billy carts' have been made for the Celebrate Mooroolbark Festival, a donated garden shed has been installed and painted and will be used to store scrap metal, we have received a donation of a 75 year old metal lathe, we will refurbish this over the coming months. 16.01.2022 Whats been happening in the shed..... bearing replacement was undertaken on our radial arm saw, manufacturing of goods to sell was in full production for the Celebrate Mooroolbark festival, which we attended with our BBQ trailer last Sunday, sorting of donated nuts, bolts and drills etc along with a general tidy up. Twenty or so 'mature aged gentlemen' sure are untidy (our partners / wive will agree with that) If any men want a tour of our facilities please call in for a coffee and a chat. Attached are a few photos of the celebrate Mooroolbark festival.

30.12.2021 We had to cut some corrugated iron, one of our members, Peter, showed us a unique method, the sheet was left with a square cut.
25.12.2021 Our shed has opened with limited numbers, attendance by a roster, social distancing, face masks and lots of hand and tool sanitising, but we see ourselves as fortunate to be opened. Whats been happening, a new overhead air and electrical reticulation has been installed over the work benches, this keeps leads and air hoses off the floor, hence a safer work environment , we are still in production of goods to sell, we have began making a board game using glass marbles, a new trailer has been purchased, many thanks to the Bendigo Bank. Welcome to our new member Brad, and best wishes to two of our team that are not the best, Robbie and Skip get well soon boys.
23.12.2021 What a year 2020 has been, we can only hope that 2021 will be a lot better. Our Shed has been virtually shut down for most of the year, except for essential maintenance. This has had a deleterious effect on some of our members, to offset this we have been doing regular phone hook ups with each other. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors and the Mooroolbark community for there on going support, without this help it would have been a lot more difficult. We would also like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and prosperous and safe new year, hopefully catch up for a coffee at some stage. Remember if you know of any men with some spare time that like a chat and a laugh , the Shed is the place to go.
10.12.2021 Our quality control department hard at work
