22.01.2022 Pupil Free Day - Wednesday 13th November. There is a pupil free day on Wednesday 13th November due to staff taking part in a Curriculum Writing day to be held at McGuire College.

20.01.2022 School Closure. Thursday 21st November Directions from the Department of Education mean that MSC will be closed to all tomorrow. No student, staff member or contractor is allowed on site. 17.01.2022 Greater Shepparton Secondary College Earlier today, the Minister for Education, Mr James Merlino, launched the new school name, logo, and announced the Student Leadership Team for 2020. The new school name is ‘Greater Shepparton Secondary College’ and one of our Mooroopna Secondary College students - Cagla Tokay - was chosen as one of the Vice Captains. We would like to congratulate Cagla on her appointment. Maykeesha Minniecon was also selected as a representative of the Student Leadership Team for 2020. 07.01.2022 Wednesday 4th December is a PUPIL FREE DAY owing to all staff working on 2020 GSSC Curriculum.

05.01.2022 Year 8 into 9 Transition Next Week Transition weeks for current Year 8 students. Commencing next Monday, all current Year 8 students from Wanganui Secondary College, McGuire Secondary College, Shepparton High School and Mooroopna Secondary College will be visiting the Mooroopna Campus for three weeks of transition. The transition activities will take place between 11am and 12.30pm. Week 1 will consist of ‘Engagement activities’, whilst Week 2 and Week 3 will involve students ...in a range of classroom activities involving either Art, Science, English or Physical Education. All Year 8 students have been placed into Year 9 groups for the Transition weeks. These groupings are a mixture of all students from across all campuses. These are not the final groups for 2020. There will be a Meeting of all Year 8's today (Thursday 7th November) in Reading Time to explain the Program. See more

04.01.2022 Today, the Minister for Education, Mr. Merlino, announced the following: All Year 7 students will receive a free stationery pack to assist with their first year of secondary education. All students will have access to the School Breakfast Clubs Program - which includes free and healthy breakfasts and school holiday supplies to students who need them. In 2020, all Year 11 and Year 12 students will be given free access to additional online resources and support to help th...em with their studies. This includes interactive online videos and exam simulations for VCE to help students with class work, assessment prep, exam revision and homework. Mr. Merlino also launched the designs of the new Mooroopna Integrated Early Learning Centre, which will offer three and four-year-old kindergarten as well as long day care services. Construction will get underway in early 2020. The Learning Centre will also serve as a hub for the local community by providing a range of maternal and child health services where professionals work together to deliver education, care, health and support services to children and their families, thanks to a new partnership with the Colman Foundation. The Colman Foundation will invest in staff and support programs to implement the ‘Our Place’ model under the partnership with the Victorian Government that will bring together family services and first-rate facilities.
