We welcomed Violet on Monday but sadly farewelled him yesterday. Our sincere thanks to Velma from Velma's Pets As Therapy Inc Assoc for fa...cilitating his rescue after learning of the dire situation he was in. 24.01.2022 Beautiful Moo Moo as you may know from previous posts has a few health issues, some are age related like her arthritis but some are due to her 8 years in the dairy industry. At 19 years old the large tumour in her udder is inoperable, unfortunately Moo Moo recently developed an abscess next to the tumour. We have been keeping a very close eye on Moo Moo and moisturise the skin on her udder daily. In spite of our best efforts a week ago the abscess ruptured. We are treating... and monitoring the wound to prevent infection. Moo Moo is still eating well and seems her usual relaxed self. We will continue to do everything possible to keep her healthy, pain free and happy. We will keep you updated if anything changes, in the meantime if you want to drop by and have a little special time with Moo Moo please contact us. ‘Here with Us, Not for Us’ #compassionforall #dairyisscary #ditchdairy #cowsofig #exdairycow See more

Buddy has been spending a few hours each day in a safe area to meet & chat with the other resident ducks. At night he is tucked away in the stables on his bed of straw. Thank you Cathie for nurturing Buddy since receiving him from @greencrossvets who tended to him following the injury to his leg. 19.01.2022 Look who arrived on Monday welcome to M2E Lacey Lacey is a 4 month old lamb who with the help of amazing carers, was nursed through sickness from a nasty paralysis tick. While she was being cared for and in critical condition, the rest of her family had to suddenly be moved from the property they were on. While it is sad that Lacey could no longer be with her family, her carers felt the best thing for Lacey would be to find a safe, loving home once she was nursed to full health again. That is when they reached out to M2E, where Lacey, since yesterday has been mixing with sheep Rose and Marci, who have been very welcoming of their new young friend. More updates to come soon #herewithusnotforus #lamb #lambsofinstagram #friendsnotfood #plantpowered #livekindly #veganuary

04.01.2022 Ginger was not looking herself on Wednesday morning so we kept a close eye on her behaviour for a few hours. She wasn’t eating & was staying inside the coop a lot. With chickens this is enough to indicate they have a problem, being prey animals they are very good at hiding their illness from us until it is usually too late for treatment. So Ginger was taken to the vet for assessment and on Thursday underwent surgery to remove over 800mls of fluid from her peritoneal cavity. ... Ginger is on anti inflammatories & antibiotics for the next 6 days but recovering well. She should be able to return to her flock & Cornelius soon. Thank you to Dr Georgia of @somersbyanimalhospital for taking good care of Ginger. Consuming eggs creates the suffering that millions of chickens endure daily. Please make kind choices & use the many other egg-free options available like flaxseed meal, besan flour, aquafaba and egg replacers. #herewithusnotforus #hensofinstagram #rescuehens #eggshurt #birdlovers #kindness #bekindtoeverykind See more
