24.01.2022 Today is World Alzheimer’s Day and we wanted to share this beautiful moment of staff dancing with Jesse at Umina Park Burnie, OneCare in Tasmania. Jesse is normally isolated and withdrawn and doesn't normally participate in most activities. Staff trialled the headphones and music from our program with him and he now loves listening to music and often gets up to dance! He is now calmer and more connected. We love the way our program brings people alive and improves their wellbeing. On this day we would love to be impacting so many more with experiences like this. Pls like and share to get the word out there to help many more in communities and care to experience the magic.

24.01.2022 Big congratulations Uniting Bankstown - our Lifestyle Legends for August!! Each week we hear your wonderful stories of how you are offering choice to your residents, how they love Moove & Groove and how it is assisting you with providing quality options, in podcasts, music, cultural, spiritual and isolated residents. You can be so proud of how well you have adapted the program and that your residents love it. If you want to be part of our Lifestyle Legends program and win 2 headphones, talk to your Moove & Groove trainer. #mooveandgroovelifestyle #lifestylelegends

23.01.2022 Announcing our Lifestyle Legends Winners for October 2020 - Allity Riddell Garden! Congratulations!! The Moove & Groove program has been so successful in your Memory Support Unit since you started introducing it over a month ago. Here is one of their lovely ladies - Lynette - who joined in to their art group. While she was doing her art, she was offered a pair of headphones to listen to music while she painted. She sang along to the laid back jazz music. We love it!

Best of all during the pandemic with so many feeling isolated 80% of staff say that silent disco technology has provided them with a vehicle for connection withresidents in many different ways. #dementiaawareness #IDC2020 You can read our full press release about the research here https://www.mooveandgroove.com.au/researchpress/

09.01.2022 Auditory memory is one of the last things to leave us and music from the most formative stages of our lives tends to hold on the strongest. If you have not seen this beautiful video that has gone viral and the story behind Marta, the former ballerina you can see here. She awakens to her past self and moves gracefully to Swan Lake. We are hearing so many powerful stories as our program awakens and connects those living with dementia.. sometimes it really feels like magic... but it is the power of music!

Big congratulations to the home and in particular coordinator Betty for fully embracing the program thus allowing residents to enjoy the choices of the resources. The residents are loving the program. Starrett Lodge is using the church services weekly, this week a silent disco themed 70s was a great success with the residents.
