24.01.2022 Hi Mums! Thinking of you all today as you bring your children back to school, or to begin kinder or school for the first time! It’s such a big milestone for the children, I’m praying that they all settle quickly into the start of the new school year and have great attitudes towards school and learning, are greatly supported by their teachers, their gifts, talents and potentials recognised and nurtured, and that they also remain safe and healthy! For us mums, it’s a big step ...of releasing our children into new environments and being cared for by others. It can be difficult, and you are not alone! This is a devotion that I read that has encouraged and reminded me to entrust my kids to God-He cares and loves them too, and has amazing and exciting plans for their lives...school is a stepping stone for our children to experience life TO THE FULL!! On Fridays, we’ll give a shout out to ask if you can provide a meal or meal voucher to a MOPS Mum living within Monash to bless her and her family in the coming week. We’d also love to hear from anyone who would like to nominate a MOPS Mum they know to receive a Food Hug, as a way to encourage them in their amazing role! It may be a mum who’s just had a new baby, a mum going through a challengi...ng situation, a mum who has toilet trained her toddler...we’d love to hear why a mum has come to your mind, so we can cheer her on too! In blessing a Mum with a Food Hug, it not only nourishes her family but also gives her the gift of time so she can spend the moments she would’ve in preparing a meal, to play and connect with her family or take time-out for herself. 04.01.2022 Hi MOPS Mums, As a Church community, we value being proactive in how we care for each other and respond to the issues of the day. In light of the rapidly changing situations we are all facing due to the Coronavirus, we just want you to know that we are here to care and support your families. If, over the coming days or weeks you find yourself needing something, please post it here, call/text or email ([email protected]). ... It may be something as simple as toilet paper, pasta, milk, nappies, wipes, rice... It may be that you need something picked up from somewhere but you are unable to get out as you are social-distancing/self isolating/quarantining. It may be something we haven't even thought of yet. Hopefully, there may be someone who has an excess of whatever it is you need who may only be a short drive from you and can respond to assist. Our next MOPS session is scheduled for 26th March, and at the time of writing this, we plan to gather. However, we are monitoring the situation and will update you as required. We continue to encourage families to follow government guidelines with regards to their own family’s health management. In closing, Scripture tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind (clarity, wisdom and skill for the day of battle). Though there needs to be grace for our hearts and our tendency towards fear reactions, we can’t stay there. Fear is devastating to our health and to our families and communities. Please join me in prayer for safety for all our children and families. And, at a wider level, we look to God, as all-knowing and all-powerful, to turn the tide of this illness and bring healing and deliverance. Motherhood (and isolation!) is hard. Let’s do it together!

04.01.2022 Hi Mammas! Last MOPS session for the year is on this week. We will begin with mums and kids altogether for free play, sing some Christmas songs as well as celebrating our graduates! Please bring a plate of morning tea to share with our Carers and kids, and a wrapped gift (no more than $10) for our gift exchange. Our amazing Carers have a memorable Christmas focused session planned for the kids too, while we have some kid-free, fun mum-time together! So much happening! You don’t want to miss it

03.01.2022 Such a sweet session to kick-off our year of living TO THE FULL! Caroline of Heathmont Honey (and a frame of !) shared with us how we can FEAR LESS-about bees and include honey (a natural sweetener) in our diets, HAVE FUN-tasting different varieties of honey and FIND OUR PEOPLE-by supporting local businesses. Our mums got to take home a jar of Grey Box honey with a reminder from Bee-utiful Cecylia’s devotion, that kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul Proverbs 16:24....
