23.01.2022 Happy Limerick Day No better way to celebrate then to create your own limerick. Just pen down your limerick and share it with the world by commenting on this post and using the hashtag #nationallimerickday. Limerick is a type of short poem usually of 5-6 crisp lines. Limerick is also rhythmic in style and follows a particular pattern.... Every lined is designated with a letter to identify the pattern. As per the practice, the initial line of a limerick introduces a person or a place. The rest of the limerick showcases the fun factor. Celebrating National Limerick Day is important because Limerick is a cherished art form that should be passed from one generation to another. The numbers of new poets are reducing with every passing day. National Limerick Day is a day to encourage more people to take this form of entertainment. Not everyone can be a poet easily, and it only comes with practice and passion. #MoranbahArts #NationalLimerickDay

17.01.2022 ( !) A online musical community project for Isaac Kids 17 and under. ? The project idea was origina...lly conceived during the Coronavirus Lockdown. It is a project created to allow kids to sing and record a song together while staying at their own homes, using just their smartphones/PCs and the internet, to be released worldwide on social media sites. Modern mixing technologies now allow us to collaborate across long distance, transcending physical locations. While this FREE project is aimed at kids 17 and under, as all the materials are supplied and family members can each learn a part and sing along the backing track at home! The younger ones can contribute whatever they want to, just a few lines of singing, a few footages of their free style dancing(as long as their parents are happy to help with the recording and uploading) We want it all! , -! ? The project had been created by KidsVoice(Kwan Chan) with collaborations with Clermont Artslink, DownUnder Brothers, Dysart Arts Inc. and Moranbah Art Council. The main organisers are Dean Pearce(12), Jasmine Pearce and Kwan Chan, all passionate local artists, with lots of help from our families and friends! ? -To give our kids a safe space of their own to do something creative and fun together. -To help our kids connect and give them a sense of community. -To nurture the kids’ love of music performing, something that will benefit them for life. -To give our kids a chance to push their own limitations and in the process empowering themselves in their artistic, self-expressive, and social aspects and to boost their confidence in themselves. -To continue our community projects and help keep our community spirit high despite the looming pandemic risks and restrictions. -To give families opportunities to participate in fun activities together at home, especially with social distancing. -To create beautiful memories, TOGETHER! ’ ? Firstly, everything we do will be via the net through emails, Zoom video chatsetc only. There is no physical contact at all. We do not even ask for the participants’ street addresses, just their hometowns. Moreover both of the adult organisers(Jasmine and Kwan) are blue card holders. If they prefer, they can also supply their parents/guardians’ emails only. All information and material received will be used solely by the organisers and not given out to third parties unless permission has been granted. : .
