24.01.2022 Seven weeks to Christmas! Four weeks to the Morangup Christmas Markets (Sun 29th Nov). Just the perfect timing! SELLERS - bring along your, craft items, de-cluttering, collectibles and more! BUYERS - find the gift for that person that has everything, and those extra little stocking fillers!

22.01.2022 The Toodyay Rd Gravel Pit application is finally coming back to Mundaring Council on 13th October. If you put in a submission back in 2017/18 you should have received a letter from Mundaring Council informing you about this. The report is now available on the Mundaring Shire website as part of the agenda for the council meeting on the 13th. https://www.mundaring.wa.gov.au//Agenda%20-%20Ordinary%20C The Shire of Toodyay put in a submission, as did a number of local resident...s. If you still have concerns regarding this then ask the questions, or submit a deputation and/or attend the meeting. Recent Mundaring planning decisions (eg North Stoneville) have included paying more attention to public concerns than it the past!

21.01.2022 Come on down to our market just before Easter - the perfect way to round off a day at the Toodyay Music Fest.

19.01.2022 Just a reminder that the Hall is still closed to public use. The commitee is reviewing this on an ongoing basis and the latest thoughts are to possibly re-open in late July if the situation continues to improve. The requirements for re-opening are that the MPA and also ANY Groups that hire/use the HALL do the following: - comply with the Safety Guidelines http://www.golfwa.org.au//COVID-Safety-Guidelines-Phase-3- - complete and adhere to a COVID Safety Plan (the MPA will n...eed a copy) https://www.wa.gov.au//COVID-19-Safety-Plan-Phase-3-Generi - keep a record of those attending any meetings/activities etc See more

19.01.2022 The Shire is looking for a name for the Rec Centre!

18.01.2022 Now that the Hall has been re-opened the MPA is intending to review everything we had to put on hold and start re-organising our intended calendar of community events for the next few months. We hope to re-start our regular Cuppa and a Chat sessions in September watch this space for confirmation! We would also love to hear from YOU about possible events/activities that the MPA could support that would be great for Morangup!

18.01.2022 The Shire has posted this - seeking comment on the walkway demolition at the Catholic Precinct. This is very much part of Toodyay Heritage. The more people that respond/object the better the chances that this will not occur. However as with most developments be aware that this could end up being taken to State level and State can override Local Government

18.01.2022 The recent Morangup Twilight Markets had a small number of stalls but had a great social vibe under a full moon! It was great to see some of our Gidgi neighbour's there & thanks to Avon Valley Shotakan for their demo. $258.68 was raised for the Lord Mayors Bushfire Appeal & the Easter raffle was won by a very happy Jennifer! Thanks to all who donated & participated.

17.01.2022 We have an extraordinary election coming up to rplace exCr Bill Manning. If you intend to stand for council or to vote in the election then you need to make sure you are on the Electoral Roll for the Shire. If your address with the Electoral commission is Toodyay then you should be on the Roll but it is worth checking. If you are on the Electoral Roll with an address outside Toodyay then you may not be on the Toodyay roll (even if you were previously - you may need to enrol again) so you need to contact the Shire to check and enrol if necessary

14.01.2022 Please note everyone - the AGM date has been changed. Apologies for any inconvenience.

12.01.2022 Confirming that we are re-starting our regular (the second Sunday of every second month) "Cuppa and a Chat" events. The first one is this Sunday 13th September 2020 from 10:00am
