20.01.2022 The Morawa District Historical Society held its windup dinner at Everlastings Guesthouse on 16th December. 13 members and spouses were able to attend to enjoy a delicious 3 course meal prepared by Yvette and her staff. It was a lovely way to end off the year.

10.01.2022 Found in the shed at the back of Morawa Traders which was originally Torrent's Store, founded by Andy Torrent in the early 1950's. "Ellams Model Rotary Duplicator" Duplicator was kept in this tin case and I am sure it would still work if we knew how to use it! The price list booklet would have been printed on this. The first entry, "To the People of Morawa" still applies today with locals "Buying from Perth" Thanks go to Peter and Stella Thornton for donating it to the Morawa District Historical Society Inc. We are delighted to add it to our Torrent's memorabilia.

09.01.2022 A mighty BIG thank you to Helen Walter & sons for the clean up of fallen trees at the Museum. Forever grateful for your efforts

03.01.2022 Photos taken just after set up for the Morawa Street Festival Thursday 3rd December on a 43 deg day! As it started to cool down the people came in droves so was too frantically busy selling Sausage Sizzles, drinks and more drinks to take any more photos. A fantastic evening and all down to Diane from the CRC who worked her butt off to make it happen. Big thank you to our small band of (aging) Historical Society volunteers for putting in such a great effort to make our stall such a success. Never every in all my 26 years in Morawa have I seen so many people in the one place at the same time!
