08.01.2022 We would like to thank our Community for the support we have be given in our in our care of the Mentone Station & Gardens over the 15 years that we have loved i...t. Our hope now is that we will be able to advocate to save it, in its present form as a living operational ticket office and information centre for our passengers. We were delighted that at least the first step in what we think will be a very long process, was to have the rail under road option. But we see this decision as only the beginning of a very long road, with the Devil being in the detail. Our committee along with Council will be meeting with LXRA with serious consideration to be given to our much loved "State Heritage Listed Site" a rarity, and something worthy or retention. Please make your feelings know to LXRA and press for retention of the Station buildings & Gardens.
