17.01.2022 *MATCH REPORT BY BALLSY* As it is in the wild, so it is in baseball. Ducks defeat Pumas 19-5! On a beautiful day at the newly christened Duck Pond, it was set to be a high scoring battle. 3 runs scored by Pakenham were returned in kind with 4 of our own in the bottom of the first inning.... We let in 2 in the 2nd, but then the Ducks EXPLODED with two quack-to-quack maximum 7-run innings, and with that the game was sealed. Special props to Luke, who found his groove on the mound this week - pitching one of the smoothest games I've seen him throw. Ben Newman umpiring may or may not have had something to do with it. After the damage was done and we couldn't lose, the radical decision was made to let Tim Sykes pitch for a bit. Good to see him give it a go. Moving on. James Coyne had a ripper day, recording 3 hits, a single, a double and a huge 3 RBI triple. Get to the gym son. Today's game had everything. We had the opposition caught in two run-down plays in the one inning, once getting an out and the other forcing their runners back to their bases. THEN our guys got into a loaded bases run down, again the result going our way with Ryan Dolman scoring a run. Hope everyone has a great Christmas with our first game back at home on the Sunday 17th January.

07.01.2022 Awful Christmas Bon Bon Joke Time: Why do doctors recommend spending the afternoon at Kingston Heath Reserve every time it's Sunday, December 20, 2020? Because it's the first time the Duckenhams play the Quackenhams!... Don't tell me I didn't warn you it was bad. 1pm game start, this is our first AND last home game for 2020. It's kinda ridiculous, but I think we've all come to accept that that is how life is at the moment. The weather is gonna be in the low 20s, slight breeze. The Cheltenham canteen is open for food and beers/other drinks. Grab your picnic rug, or just come down at any stage and say hi and bye as we say LATERS to 2020.

04.01.2022 Remember to reach out to your friends to see if they’re ok about this weekend’s game being cancelled. Oh well, next week is our first home game last one for the year, against Pakenham!
