23.01.2022 It is with much sadness that we wish to advise that our Podiatrist Marion Brittain passed away June 7th after a short illness. Marion will be sadly missed by all staff and patients. 23.01.2022 Bill is well advanced in the (BSSET) Podiatric Surgery Assistant Course, and has now completed part 'A'. This included suturing techniques, 9 hours of online study, hospital attendance involving gowning, gloving procedures, plus techniques and safety. in addition participating and attendance with Surgeons involving surgical instruments, suturing techniques and electrosurgery. He will complete part 'B' shortly,

23.01.2022 Morecrofts Podiatry wishes to welcome our new Podiatrist Tom Miller to our team. Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Podiatric Practice from Latrobe University. He is experienced in general podiatry, biomechanics and aged care. He has a post graduate certificate in dry needling. He will be available for bookings on Mondays and Tuesdays.

20.01.2022 Last Saturday 6th April, Croydon Division of St John Ambulance celebrated its 50th year reunion. Bill started the division and was honoured to reunite old friendships. Some of those members he sees as patients and friends in his podiatry practice. Bill paid tribute to current and past members for their volunteer work to a vital organistion that performs a volunteer service to the community and caring for others.

18.01.2022 Congratulations to Bill who has now completed his Surgical Assistant course from the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons. We also welcome back our receptionist Sharon, after some time off for her nursing studies which is now online. We would like to wish our Podiatrist Amanda Zanatta well in her further studies for endorsement of scheduled medicines.... 12.01.2022 Back to school time is almost upon us, and it is probably that time of year to get those orthotics checked. If you or your children wear orthotics then they should be checked annually and back to school is a good time. Usually they are in thongs or barefooted over the holidays which often enhances growth of their feet, plus without those orthotics and support, the feet may well have gone back to their old painful ways. Our podiatrists have received extra training in footwear ...assessment and are most efficient in biomechanical assessments. Please give us a call to make an appointment to have one of our podiatrists check your orthotics or if your children are complaining of foot, knee, hip or lower back pain, we can help. 09.01.2022 In addition to surgical ingrown toenail procedures, performed every Friday, Bill has been accepted as an affiliate member of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons and has now enrolled into the 'BSSET' podiatric surgical assistant training course. This will involve assisting in major foot and ankle surgery, with Bill's main role involving closure and suturing of soft tissue procedures. Some procedures he will be able to perform in his practice. We wish him well with this course.

08.01.2022 We would like to pay tribute to the community of Bills original hometown of Buchan in East Gippsland. Our thoughts and prayers are with them following the disastrous bushfires that ravaged their town over the past week. Many family and friends have lost their homes, sheds, stockyards, fencing, stock and their livelihoods. And of course at least one local life was lost.... Sincere thanks must go to those firefighters and other emergency workers who worked tirelessly and selflessly trying to save homes, and care for the people in their dire time of need. Thanks also to the generosity of Victorians who donated so willingly to support the fire victims who now need that support to rebuild their lives. The people in the bush always do it hard and disasters as this certainly makes it worse. However bushys have that culture and determination to fight back and they will again this time.
