17.01.2022 Kids Club Moree Salvos Kids Club is an after-school outreach program for 5-12 year olds. Staff and volunteers create a safe and stable environment for children to participate in sport, art, games, songs, dancing, a short talk and dinner. 40-60 children attend each week transported to and from the program by Salvation Army buses. Moree Kids Club runs each Wednesday 4-6:30pm during school term. We aim to create a safe environment for children t...o enhance their development skills through music, dance, craft and play. Parents and carers have the opportunity to engage in the activities with their children and socially connect with each other. On a regular week 20-30 families and their children attend. Mainly Music at the Salvos runs on Monday’s during school term from 9-11:30am. Schools that we attend include: Moree East Public School, Moree Public School , Moree Secondary College Junior and Senior campus. Our aim is to connect with students, parents and teachers making ourselves available for information or referrals for support or assistance. 05.01.2022 Salvos Youth Mentoring Salvos Youth Mentoring is a youth-based Mentoring program that supports young people in developing their life skills and achieving personal goals. Participants are mentored 1on1 or in small groups by a positive role model that meets with them either for a meal, a recreational activity or exercise session on a regular basis. Thanks to some of the generous cafes in Moree. Over 24 young people are currently being mentored. Mentors say there relationships w...ith their mentees are one of the most rewarding parts of their life.
