24.01.2022 It sure was a case of ‘right place, right time’ for Moree Tyrepower’s newest recruit, Jardi Knox - and some healthy initiative! Whilst his tyre was getting fixed recently he casually asked if there were any jobs going - and the next day he started his role working on the floor with the team! Jardi said he’s excited by the opportunity, and despite the steep learning curve he’s keen to sink his teeth into the job. This gives me a career path for life and a job I can support my family through, he said. Welcome to the team Jardi, we’re pumped to have you on-board!

23.01.2022 It sure was a happy new year for Martin Pryor, who won the Ironman 4X4 fridge in the recent Summer Daze competition. Martin purchased his ticket from Assef's Pty. Ltd. and we’re thrilled to see him take home this great prize! The Summer Daze Competition is an institution in Moree, encouraging local shopping and supporting Moree business, and we’re very proud to support this great initiative. Congratulations Martin, and all the competition winners!

We’re thrilled to have a few new friendly faces in the workshop, with Alex one of our two new apprentices. Alex is looking forward to a career in mechanics and has certainly had to hit the ground running in the lead up to harvest. A keen Boars Rugby League player and proud Moree local, Alex has fit into the team well, and we’re very excited to see his skills evolve and to be able to provide our local youth a career pathway. 08.01.2022 Moree Tyrepower is very excited to welcome Zach Haley to the team, our newest apprentice mechanic. 18-year-old Zach hit the ground running just before harvest, so it was an extremely busy orientation, but he said it was a thrill to see the district, and business, at full throttle. Having always wanted to learn a trade, Zach said the practical skills he'll learn will serve him at work, and the Bullarah farm on which he lives. "A trade like this ensures a job for the rest of your life, and I'm really grateful for this opportunity, and really excited about the skills I'm learning." Welcome to the team Zach, we're so pleased to have you, and look forward to watching your career evolve.

02.01.2022 This is what you call a heavy haulage overflow... It’s been an incredibly busy time across the district, and we know the huge hours everyone has been putting in to get this crop in the bin. And while on-farm is a flurry of activity, we’d like to give a special mention to our Tyrepower team here in the shed. This is just an example of the enormous volume of work we’ve had during harvest, and our boys in the workshop have well and truly stepped up to the challenge. For many s...taff, this is their first ‘normal’ harvest season, and they have gone above and beyond making sure critical harvest gear is out of the shed and back in the paddock as quickly as possible. Thank you to our team, it’s been an almighty effort and we’re extremely proud of you - and we promise you can rest up - soon!! See more

02.01.2022 Time is of the essence when it comes to harvest, and Garry Rhodes can't afford any hold-ups. He's currently carting grain from 'Woodbine" west of town, and had enjoyed a smooth run so far - until he had two blown tyres today. He called in this morning for two new tyres, relieved to know he'd be in and out quickly thanks to our efficient service - and with a full load in tow he'd be 'back out on the highway and straight to GrainCorp' in no time! Garry, of Uralla, is now retired from a long career driving trucks - but couldn't resist being part of the action for this year's harvest, helping out his son's contract harvesting business. "I'm the apprentice," he laughed, 'But it's great to be back on the road and part of such an exciting season - the excitement of harvest never gets old."

Moree Tyrepower is open today until noon, after which we will close until the 29th.
