20.01.2022 wine alert Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss Clos Rebgarten 2018 From a superb little vineyard (0.1 ha) within a high walled Clos literally in the centre of the village of Andlau, surrounded by the town buildings. Very high mineral content in the soil, predominantly granitic sands, worked entirely by horse.... Gewurtztraminer left on skins - notes of Jasmine, pu-erh tea, mandarin peel, dried Orange peel, aromatics with hints of spice and fresh tobacco, really elegant tannins and a long dry finish. 14.01.2022 Chenin Blanc is such a tasty, versatile wine and Loic Mahé is no exception. We had this @yangsramenandtacos with fish and scallop tacos while friends had it with chicken ramen. Was a fantastic match with all of those dishes. Australia, we need more Chenin in our glasses. #moreishwines #wine

12.01.2022 What do you do when Bush fires from 2019 to 2020 damage all your grapes and the grapes that you normally source from surrounding regions? You source fruit from friends all over the country, who are willing to help you out and you make multi-regional wines! Bryan has made a few wines with the help of friends all over Australia (Margaret River, Swan Valley, Great Southern, Tasmania). He has labelled these wines as his ‘Long way Around’ wines because these grapes had to travel ...long distances to make it back to the Ravensworth winery, some even taking a train across the Nullarbor! He’s released a Bianco & Tinto but there will be more wines to come. Both of these wines are extremely fun and enjoyable and show what a quality winemaker can achieve in extremely trying situations.
