22.01.2022 Series Futsal Victoria | Round 2 Moreland-5 Fitzroy FC-7 A.Ibrahim 3, C.Russo 1 & M.Temel 1... Moreland's bad start to the season has continued as the Blues fell short narrowly going down to Fitzroy in yet another entertaining fixture between the 2 clubs It was a end to end first half with both teams creating numerous chances as the Blues trailed 3-2 thanks to a Ibrahim double. Russo opened the scoring early in the second half before Fitzroy scored 3 unanswered goals to take the lead. As always Moreland deployed the 5th man tactic and created numerous unsuccessful chances before Temel headed home to reduce the deficit. Controversy was at a high, as always when the 2 clubs play & Moreland could not find a way back as we suffered a 7-5 defeat Plenty of positive from the boys in Blue as we regroup & return to the Brunswick court next week in our final game for 2020 vs Carlton Heart. 16.01.2022 Number 7 on the All Time Games List is arguably one of the most talented players to compete in the competition, Moreland’s Adam Cooper. Making his debut in the ...league at 17 years of age, Cooper has since flourished into one of the leagues elite players. A four time SFV Champion with the Vic Vipers, Cooper added to his four league titles with the most recent triumph for current club Moreland Futsal Club. Cooper's decorated list of club accolades includes the Futsal Oz Cup, League Cup, Clubs Cup & Series Futsal Australia titles in his time. Individually, Cooper has won a respective Youth Player of the Season, Best and Fairest and Golden Boot whilst claiming the MVP award twice. He has essentially won it all, while also remaining a current member of the Australian National Team. With plenty of years left in the league, Cooper will surely be a candidate to take over the number one spot on the All Time Games list. #alltimegameslist #sfvlegends #7

14.01.2022 Series Futsal Victoria | Round 1 Moreland-4 Regent City-4 (1-2 penalties) J.Filho 2 & A.Ibrahim 2... Moreland have kicked off the 20/21 season in pure Moreland fashion continuing their record of never winning a round 1 fixture as we bow out in a penalty shootout to a resilient Regent side. In a entertaining game, Moreland were continuenly trailing despite countless attempts saved or denied by the woodwork as we went into the break down 2-1. Late in the game Moreland opted for the 5th man tactic which had the opposition pinned back and were rewarded with a last gasp equaliser to send the game to a shootout Filho was the only scorer from the penalty mark and it wasn't enough as Regent secured a hard fought win.
