25.01.2022 Majenta rescued last night from Kallangur after crossing a busy road, thankfully Majenta wasn’t hit by a car but she was suffering from a dirty bottom and taken into the wildlife hospital for treatment

24.01.2022 Say Hi to Frosty! Frosty was found orphaned when his mother was killed by a vehicle strike. Sadly Frosty needed to have his eye removed after treatment failed. He has adapted very well to life at Wildlife HQ.

24.01.2022 PLEASE SHARE THIS FAR AND WIDE ....... Yesterday Sussan Ley MP said "I have been so frustrated that no one could give me the data I needed.. it’s just not there..... only in patches." Well this is an outright LIE and a very clever way to deceive the general public In February 2020 the Australian Koala Foundation provided Sussan Ley MP with research and the map below, clearly showing the amount of Koala habitat and the number of Koalas. This was a $15m privately funded research census. While she now deflects with her $2m census, which will take years to complete, Koalas and their habitat will continue to be decimated. This is outrageous and personally I find it difficult to believe that most people will just sit back and let this happen - it is truly shocking It is time for a Koala Protection Act! #SaveOurKoalas #reversebrandyhill

22.01.2022 Please feel free to save and share this image

20.01.2022 Damiancastellini has done it again!! We are so lucky to have such an amazing artist join us in our mission to save the koalas!! While Damians artwork still has a serious message behind it, he has made sure to get it across in a humorous way & we are absolutely loving it! ... Here you see Killian (who has needed his eartag replaced in the past) with the help of his feathered accomplice removing his tag & sending our team on a ‘wild goose chase’ around the bush

19.01.2022 Wildlife HQ is home to some very special koalas that were rescued from the wild and sadly were unable to be re-released. We thought you might like to 'meet' them and read their stories. First up is the gorgeous Elisha.

18.01.2022 Don’t forget to pop down and see us today at the Samford Valley markets! We will have handmade goods, mugs, cookies and so much more available for purchase

15.01.2022 Not the best place for this Mumma & her Bubz... Yesterday we attended Gidget who had mistakenly climbed a fence rather than a tree. Luckly Gidget & her Bubba were unharmed and very healthy so they were able to move on without any issues! They are now both in a neighbouring property with endless food trees Happy endings are always the best

06.01.2022 Matilda attacked by a dog last night and taken into Brisbane Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Service by a member of the public where the staff were able to contact us to rush her up to the wildlife hospital. Unfortunately though, Matildas injuries were just far too much for her little body and she passed away during transport RIP little lady, we are sorry

04.01.2022 Nothing beats healthy koala sightings

04.01.2022 Old man Duke watching on as our team rescued Mr Worm from a near by tree. Thanks Duke but we think it’s about time you go into retirement old mate!!

03.01.2022 Fidget Rescued this morning from Margate which isn’t the safest place for a koala. With no habitat around & Fidget struggling to grip/climb the tree, we decided to send him off for a health check at the wildlife hospital

03.01.2022 Mr Worm, the poor boy from Petrie This precious boy came off second best when he came up against Duke early hours this morning. Thankfully the noise from these two boys was enough to wake one of our team members who lives close by and witnessed exactly what happened. Unfortunately MrWorm fell roughly 20m during his fight with Duke which left him in an extreme state of shock with signs of injuries (blood was dripping from mouth) ... We are hoping he had just bitten his tongue and there is nothing serious going on but he is now at the wildlife hospital for a full examination just to be sure! Good luck Mr W!!

02.01.2022 We are melting a little inside How beautiful is this mum & bub love

02.01.2022 3 amazing students from Horizons College made these beautiful candles and kindly donated the proceeds to MBKR. Today we named Koala Fraser after one of these great kids Fraser was rescued from Burpengary with a bit of a head wound, he is now at the wildlife hospital for assessment.
