25.01.2022 Joyner | A 30-year-old woman has drowned while kayaking on Lake Samsonvale, north-west of Brisbane. Bystanders pulled the woman from the water at the Forgan Cove Boat Ramp at Joyner this afternoon. Paramedics arrived at the scene but the woman couldn't be revived.

14.01.2022 North Lakes police are seeking public assistance to locate a boat that was reportedly stolen from the Griffin area between June 14 and September 14. Initial investigations suggest that the Haynes Hunter speedboat was being kept in a yard and was secured at the time of the offense. It will be alleged that unknown offenders have broken the padlock and chain that was being used to secure the boat and have stolen the vessel from the property.... 13.01.2022 Police are appealing for public assistance following an incident of dangerous driving spanning from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane this morning. At 7am, a man was driving his vehicle southbound on the Bruce Highway at the Glasshouse Mountains when a 2006 model, gold coloured Nissan X-Trail reportedly cut in front of him, forcing him to take evasive action into another lane. It was then reported the driver of the X-Trail began throwing items from his vehicle at the man’s car b...efore swerving at him and attempting to run him off the road. The dangerous driving continued to be observed by the man for approximately 30mins until they reached the Gateway Bridge where the vehicles became separated. Multiple reports were made to police in relation to the manner of driving of the X-Trail as it continued south on the M1 towards South Brisbane. Officers are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of the movements of the Gold X-Trail (similar to the one pictured) between the Glasshouse Mountains and South Brisbane to make contact. Additionally, any further witnesses to the dangerous driving are urged to contact police as a matter of priority. QP2100889183

08.01.2022 Bramble Bay | Two men were rescued after using safety equipment when jet skiing in Bramble Bay late yesterday afternoon. Around 5.45pm, multiple people called e...mergency services to advise they had seen a distress flare activated by the men about 1km off the coast of Woody Point. Water police and Polair responded and were able to quickly locate the men, whose jet ski had become disabled, and transport them and the jet ski back to the main land. Senior Sergeant David Edden of Water Police Brisbane said: The correct use of safety equipment can be the difference between a safe trip and tragedy. In this case, the distress signal alerted authorities and police were able to work quickly to recuse the men and their vessel before dark. Police would also like to thank the members of the public who reported the sighting.
