24.01.2022 Day 3 results Under 18 State Championships for our Fire and Flames teams: 18 Boys Fire: Played two games on day 3... First was against Southern District Titians The suns faught hard throughout the game but were defeated in the final minutes. Final Result: Moreton Bay Fire (74 points) Southern Districts Titians (78 points) The team came out stronger in their final pool match with a high scoring performance to defeat the Toowoomba Neers Blue. Final Result: Moreton Bay Fire (104) Toowoomba Neers Blue (61 points) 18 Boys Fire have earnt themselves a Qtr final match tomorrow against Gold Coast Rollers. 18 Boys Flames Had just the one game today, a very physical and tough battle against Red City Pride. Unfortunately Red City Pride took out the match. Final result : Moreton Bay Flames (65 points) RedCity Pride (82 points) Moreton Bay Flames will compete against Red City Lions tomorrow. 18 Girls Fire Played excellent on day 3 First up they defeated Northside Wizards 2 in a high scoring game, overall a very strong performance. Final result: Moreton Bay Fire (77 points) Northside Wizards 2 (37 points) Their final game for today was yet another tough battle against Sunshine Coast Rip. Suns never gave up, playing with pride and determination throughout the match. Final result: Sunshine Coast Rip (79 points) Moreton Bay Fire (43 points) Our ladies now face South West Metro Pirates Gold tomorrow. 15.01.2022 Rep Carnival Wkend 1 - Wrap Up Our U18 Boys FLAMES had a great weekend walking away with 3 Wins and 1 Loss, well done lads, sensational effort!!! The U18 Girls FIRE had a tough weekend but managed to grab a win in their last game walking away with 1 Win and 3 Loses, great job ladies!!!... Our U21 Men FIRE had a solid weekend with 1 Win and 2 Losses in hard fought battles, narrowly going down in their 2 L’s. Good work fellas, keep it up!!! The U18 FIRE Boys had a tough weekend at the office unfortunately walking away with 4 Losses. These boys will be back next week bigger, stronger, eager and ready to put some W’s on the board!!! That’s a wrap of Carnival Weekend 1 for our U18s and U21s. Awesome effort all players, coaches, managers and parents!!! FEEL THE HEAT

Moreton Bay Fire (94 points) Northside Wizards 3 (51 points) 18 Boys Flames: First up the team had a tough battle against Toowoomba Mountaineers, unfortunately the boys went down to Toowoomba in the end. Final result : Moreton Bay Flames (49 points) Toowoomba Mountaineers (67 points) The boys finished day 2 with a promising and convincing win over Mulgrave Magic Final result: Moreton Bay Flames (88 points) Mulgrave Magic (42 points) 18 Girls Fire: Had a tough day at the office today. First up they faced the experienced Southern District Titians. The boys played hard and showed determination to try and shorten the margin in the last qtr.... Final Result: Moreton Bay Fire (80 points) Gold Coast Rollers (86 points) The Suns had another tough loss this afternoon against Sunshine Coast phoenix Black going down in the last few mins. Final Result: Moreton Bay Fire (79 points) Sunshine Coast Phoniex (81 points) 18 Boys Fire will now play off for 7th and 8th position in Division 3 tomorrow. 18 Boys Flames Had a rocky start in their first game, they turned in around quickly and secured a comfortable win over Red City Lions. Final result : Moreton Bay Flames (57 points) RedCity Lions (46 points) The boys then continued their winning streak to defeat SWM Pirates in the semi final. 07.01.2022 We are excited to announce that Moreton Bay Suns have partnered with North Lakes Health Hub! NL Health Hub is the exclusive Allied Health Team for Moreton Bay Suns Basketball. NL Health Hub will be working with the Suns’ coaches and players in developing Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention Programs. ... Referees will have access to Psychologist programs and professionals as we know the demand and toll on mental health is one of the largest health factors affecting officials today. These Programs will involve their team of Physios, Psychologist, Exercise Physiologist and Sports Scientist to improve both the player’s and officials physical and mental resilience. The Team of Physical and Cognitive Rehab experts will also get injured players back on the court faster and reduce the risk of future injuries. This is another service that we are proud to offer all of our members at Moreton Bay Suns. We are leading the way in providing a wholistic development program to our athletes, officials, coaches and parents!!! Today we held our first Rep Coaches education and training session. This assisted coaches in bettering themselves by providing the latest scientific evidence for best practice Basketball Training. The environment we have established for our athletes to learn, grow, and hone their craft will assist them in reaching their goals on and off the court!
