25.01.2022 Congratulations to the Senior class of 2020. It's been a year full of challenges, but you have risen to the occasion! From all the staff at MBBC, we wish all our Senior boys the very best and hope that they grab every opportunity that comes their way. You will be missed!

25.01.2022 Today our MBBC Seniors celebrated their 100 days to go with thanks to the MBBC Old Boys Committee.

24.01.2022 Last week, Mr Cox and the Design team welcomed Miss Hanau and the Year 11 fashion class from MBC into our Design Studio to use Adobe Illustrator and the laser cutter to manufacture laser cut pieces of jewellery. It was a great opportunity to share facilities and knowledge, and the girls created some very professional looking pieces of jewellery!

23.01.2022 The Year 1 boys visited the Year 10 boys in the design studio today, as valuable stakeholders in the Year 10's designing with empathy project. The Year 10's originally met with the Year 1's to collect research and understand their wants and needs earlier in the year, then went away to design and prototype. Today's session let the Year 1 boys give feedback on those designs!

22.01.2022 Here's a fantastic flashback! Three years ago today, the new library building was well under construction. The crew were busily trying to get it finished in time for the commencement of Term 3. We can't imagine our school without this incredible multi-purpose space now!

21.01.2022 The Year 5 and Year 11 students have been hard at work in the Manual Arts shed this term. The Year 11 boys have been mentoring the Year 5 boys, developing their skills in the workshop and together they have created these lovely Christmas decorations which will be donated to charity.

13.01.2022 On Wednesday, the MBBC Prep boys were delighted to meet and host their buddies from MBC Prep. The MBBC boys and MBC girls have both been learning about Living Things as part of their current Unit of Inquiry: Sharing the Planet. The boys were eager to show their buddies the chickens and they spent time engaging with them in small groups. The remainder of the morning was spent getting to know each other with activities in the classroom and outdoors in the playground. The boys are looking forward to catching up with their buddies again soon!

13.01.2022 Our College Captain Oliver shared some inspiring words in the Courier Mail's article discussing how the 2020 Senior cohort navigated homeschooling, a pandemic, social distancing and an unpredictable future. "For the rest of our lives, we will be the class that graduated during a pandemic. I truly believe that every Senior across Australia should be proud of what they have achieved this year and take the lessons they have learnt from it to make the world a slightly better place." - Oliver

13.01.2022 With a desire to take action related to his current Sharing the Planet Unit of Inquiry, Year 2 Cody has been looking at ways he can volunteer. Cody discovered a community planting day at Minnippi Parklands and shared it with the Year 2 cohort. Yesterday, Cody, Samath and Year 1 Nihal attended the tree planting event and helped plant 600 native trees! Amazing work boys!

13.01.2022 Over the weekend, eleven Robotics students from MBC and MBBC competed in the FIRST Tech Challenge Queensland State Championships. The students competed under two teams: RDICTBOY and Other Variant Item, and did both of the Colleges proud. After qualifications, Other Variant Item was ranked 5th in the state while RDICTBOY, suffering technical problems, were placed 28th. Due to their ranking, Other Variant Item was an alliance captain and competed in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, they were pitted against the top two ranked teams. After losing the first round, they clawed back a win in the second round, but were thwarted by a technical issue in the last round and were knocked out of the semi-finals. The teams are now waiting to hear if they have qualified for the National Finals. Well done to all involved.
