This help sheet outlines the coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, hygiene tips, helpful tips for primary carers, as well as for family, friends or neighbours, ideas for remaining active and engaged while in self-isolation, and where to go for help. 11.01.2022 The impact of dementia, ageing and aged care in Australia is considerable and continues to grow as the populations grows. In December 2019 The Government announced $185million towards Dementia, Aged Care and Ageing Mission, a medical research package focused on these issues. The Mission will fund research to support older Australians to maintain their health and quality of life as they age.... They are currently asking for feedback into their Mission Roadmap and this can be given here until the 17th February - https://consultations.health.gov.au//dementia-ageing-and-/

We welcomed many newcomers including Simon and Avi from Restart and heard of some excellent initiatives from the Libraries to create dementia inclusive spaces and resources.

02.01.2022 A big thanks to Brad for joining Walk With Me 2020 back in September. The event may be over until next year, but it’s never too late to start #destigmatisingdementia in Moreton Bay. Another huge thank you to all those who took the week to show their support for those living with dementia, their carers and families. Keep in touch: Walk With Me will be back in 2021, and we can’t wait to see you there.
