Although we were unable to bring the festival to you this year we thought we would share some thoughts from our very own team. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few days to meet the team and learn what they love most about Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival. First up is our very talented Theming and Logistics Coordinator, Tasia! "I love that we have an opportunity to showcase... our local producers and their products. We are fortunate enough to have some of the best produce in the country, right here on our doorstop in Moreton Bay Region. It also allows us to get creative with our theming, by engaging with extremely talented local stylists to help our visions come to life. We are truly spoilt for choice in our region, and I love that this event let’s us highlight our producers and suppliers." FYI - Tasia handmade this incredible photo wall. 11.01.2022 This afternoon we continue to introduce you to our team as we reminisce on all the best bits of #MBFWF. Today we introduce you to our Event Manager, Mel! We asked her what her favourite part of Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival is. See her response below. "My favourite part about Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival is seeing the event site (which is basically a road), transform in two days into a vibrant festival, bursting at the seams with live entertainment, delectable c...uisine, amazing demonstrations, large crowds and good times. And then, just as quickly as this little world transforms, it is all packed away again, and once again the site is a roadway. It’s the magic of events! I love turning ordinary spaces into the extraordinary and helping people make memories with their friends and families." 09.01.2022 Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival cancelled for 2020 An important announcement for our Moreton Bay Food + Wine fam *Queue the violins* ... It’s with the deepest regret that we announce the cancellation of our beloved Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival, scheduled for September 2020. Over the past two years, the festival has been the tireless work of hundreds of people around Moreton Bay Region - including the legends that show up to eat and drink their way through the festival precinct each year (not all heroes wear capes). However, the rapid escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic has created an exceptional set of circumstances for our festival, and unfortunately like many others, we aren't immune to the impacts the crisis is having on the events and tourism industry. The cancellation is regrettable (to be quite frank - the situation blows!) but the safety and welfare of festival guests is our number one priority. We understand that news of this cancellation will be a great disappointment to foodies right around South East Queensland. We promise you that everyone involved with the festival is just as disappointed as you are. The investment in the festival from the producers, local businesses, legendary sponsors, suppliers, volunteers and staff has been tremendous, and this decision has been made with great reluctance and the utmost seriousness. The festival will not be rescheduled for later in 2020 due to the inability to predict when COVID-19 restrictions will ease. However, we have every intention on returning in 2021 (pending no more global pandemics) - bigger, better and tastier than ever before. We thank everyone involved for their support and patience in this difficult time. On behalf of the Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival squad - we hope you, your family and your drinking buddies are staying home and staying safe. We look forward to seeing you in 2021!

08.01.2022 This time last year we were water side, sipping cocktails and craft beer, snacking on seafood, learning from well known taste makers and celebrating local produce. This year, although we are unable to come together for Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival we can still do our part to support each other during these tough times.
