24.01.2022 Well, was nothing short of a spectacular morning thismorning. All went to plan with no major dramas. Once we left the Brissy River we ventured out over the southern bay and saw scores of Dugong and a few Turtles, not to mention other "strange" shapes in the water. What suprised me the most is the amount of shipwrecks in the bay and the sheer clarity of the water. Here's a few pics for everyone, stay tuned for some video to follow! Big shout out to the aeroplane owner Rohan Whittington, thanks for all your help mate!

24.01.2022 This time of year brings some spectacular weather. Here's Judy owner of Port Macquarie Seaplanes taking some folks for spin. Check out the dolphins in the clear waters just off the coast!

23.01.2022 Kid in a candy store this morning! Saw this guy at Redcliffe! This is an AT-802 agricultural aircraft fitted with floats and is used to skim lakes and rivers at speed. This inturn fills up a hopper tank full of water. The aircraft than swoops in low over bushfires dropping its load of water extinguishing the fire. God knows what its worth but I would estimate between $2- $3 million

22.01.2022 Almost forgot, there's a bit of video too! This is coming around Woorim looking up towards the north

22.01.2022 Hi folks, if you follow this page and are at least a PPL holder you might be interested in this! I've just learned this afternoon that Aerial Hotshots will be conducting UAV Operator Courses at the Redclicfe Aero Club at a discounted rate. It looks good on your resume and can provide you with a new career path!

22.01.2022 Hi folks, quite a big step forward for us today. We got the go ahead from the Brisbane City Council to operate from the Brisbane River!!! Our final step is to meet with Airservices and see if we can sort out a procedure to get in and out of their airpsace without causing much grief for the airspace controllers.

21.01.2022 Morning folks, I've got some news to share with you all this morning. We are no longer hoping to operate from Sandstone Point, several problems have plagued us and its came to a point where it was no longer possible. We are now in talks to operate from the Brisbane River in partnership with another much larger organisation, we just have to get through the usual consultations with the governing authorities and a few other bits a pieces along the way. I will keep everyone posted on any further developments as much as possible as things develop!

19.01.2022 Moreton Island has so much to offer! This is Castaways on the island where you can Glamp (Glamorous Camping) in style! More info can be found at www.moretonislandadventures.com.au

17.01.2022 Call me odd but how awesome would it be to recover from New Years in a spot like this. The Gutter Bar in on Moreton Islands very south western side, cant wait to drop in there soon! #visitqueensland #moretonisland #brisbanetourism

16.01.2022 Doesn't look that hard

15.01.2022 Well, I was only 3 at the time but even I feel old.

14.01.2022 Check this out, a fantastic video landing an Air Whitsunday Seaplanes C208 Caravan on Hardy Reef off the coast of Airlie Beach. Beautiful place to live and work

13.01.2022 With such dreary weather around at the moment its a good idea to remember how beautiful Moreton Bay can be. I took these photos about 12 months ago while flying over a thick cloud bank on Moreton Island. From memory it never cleared until about lunchtime that day!

12.01.2022 A magnificent day on Moreton Bay this morning. Days like this one are quite common during the cooler months which is why we aim to get started ASAP!

12.01.2022 Hi folks, we had an update from the Moreton Shire Council today letting us know that the draft plan for the foreshore will go to Council on the in about a weeks time, then following this will be submitted for FINAL approval in September. At least now we can start to get the wheels moving!! Also, had to share this video I came across today. Would be a mind blowing experience to be one of the people standing on the pontoons watching him or her go by! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1760220254005681&id=344259885601732

11.01.2022 On the Brisbane River!

11.01.2022 Redcliffe & Bayside Herald I took these photos around 10am this morning while flying near Bribie Island and thought they were too good to keep to myself. The bay is really turning it on today !!

11.01.2022 Happy Sunday folks! I came across this story after seeing it on the news the other day. 15 year old Kyla Burgess from the Sunshine Coast completed her first solo recently in a light aircraft called a Sling. I would absolutely encourage girls to get into aviation in any field from Pilots to Engineering to Cabin Crew and would love to have a girl fly our seaplane once we kick off. Great job Kyla!!!!

11.01.2022 Hi folks, thanks for the huge response, I'll endeavour to get back to you all later today. Cheers!

11.01.2022 Hi folks, on the 24th of this month Moreton Bay Seaplanes will be conducting a test flight around 8-9am landing and taking-off from the Brisbane River, on the eastern side of the Gateway Bridge. The test will be conducted in a similar aircraft to the one in the picture and is being undertaken at the request of Airservices Australia for data purposes. I'll post here again when more accurate info comes to hand over the next week or so!

09.01.2022 A look back when flying was only for the affluent!! Happy Monday folks!!

08.01.2022 Here's a bit of a Friday video to warm your heart. I'm yet to share the cockpit with my young son but the day is fast approaching, Have a nice weekend folks !!

08.01.2022 Happy Sunday all, just a note to keep you updated on goings on. The Moreton Bay Regional Council have informed us recently that they are in the process of redeveloping the foreshore on the southern end of the peninsula, where we aim to operate from, and are not considering any commerical applications until plans are finalised. We have been told that this should be around mid year after which we can apply again to Council for the permit. Yes, its another delay but we think i...ts one for the better. The day is hopefully getting closer!

07.01.2022 *** Calling any followers that own a seaplane *** We have been in consultation with Airservices recently and as part of the process we are undergoing with them, we need to do a test run landing and taking off from the Brisbane River. The event will be recorded by Airservices to note when/where we can be seen on their radar screens. I'm more than happy to cover your fuel & nav charges and your aircraft must have a mode S or mode C transponder so they can see you on radar. If ...you're interested please send us a PM and we can converse to work out the particulars! Cheers!

07.01.2022 Parts of Angelina Jolie's recent film Unbroken was filmed in the waters just off Peel Island in southern Moreton Bay. The story covers the life of a man called Louis Zamperini an Olympic champion whose career was cut short by his participation in WW2. Mr Zamperini flew bombing missions on B-24 Liberators and was eventually shot down, he spent weeks adrift in the Pacific before being captured spending the rest of his war as a P.O.W.

07.01.2022 About 10 mins out.

07.01.2022 Early morning folks, came across this video taken on a GoPro by North West Seaplanes based in Seattle. The scenery is just spectacular, I've seldom seen water that colour, check it out!!

06.01.2022 Yes.....we're still trying.

06.01.2022 The most halarious safety demo I've ever seen! HAPPY FRIDAY!

06.01.2022 Here we are again, coming into the season when Moreton Bay really turns it on for us. Crystal clear days, light winds and cooler days!

05.01.2022 Morning folks, I thought I'd share some of these pics taken by some of the members of the Redcliffe Aero Club, where I learned to fly many years ago, heading to Stradbroke Island for the monthly Starddie breakfast fly-inn. It shows the amazing contrasting colours that Moreton Bay has to offer and is a sight I cant wait to share with you all once the Jetty goes in at the Sandstone Point Hotel in January-ish! Have a good Sunday!

04.01.2022 An image that speaks a thousand words!

04.01.2022 Some exciting news came through yesterday with the green light being given to us by Maritime Safety Queensland !! Our next step is to consult with the folks that run the airspace around the Brisbane Airport as we will enter their airspace from the moment we leave the water. More news as it comes to hand !!

03.01.2022 Ok folks, here's a bit of video from the flight this morning. Its completely unedited and goes for about 8 mins or so and shows us circling over the river first to have a look at the conditions etc then coming around to land in a south westerly direction. Bear in mind, Youtube dumbs down the clarity of the video but there should be a watch in HD option there somewhere. Enjoy!

03.01.2022 Hi folks, well, like a lot of people out there, I cannot believe we are at another Christmas! I'd like to extend a huge thankyou to all of our follwers for being patient with us as there has been some long delays while the new jetty at the Sandstone Point Hotel is constructed, it is expected to be complete in the first half of the new year. Once again, Merry Christmas to you and your families! Take care,... Clinton See more

02.01.2022 Well all our ducks are in a row ready for the test flight tomorrow morning. Unfortunately there really isnt anywhere other than the terminal area the Tangalooma Flyer departs from to see us but we will have a couple of GoPros set up to film the event and I'll post them to our Youtube channel tomorrw night.
